14k season tickets is fantastic 👏 I wonder if we could hit 16k? Those were the numbers during Romanov early Era, anyway fair play to everyone, wish I could get one, hopefully we have another good season.

Well on course to hit the 16k! Which is mental! Already the highest amount in 16 years I think I saw!

Disagree.  Clubs have to be much more generous than that. Arsenals scheme gives 90% of resale ticket price to the season ticket holder to be used as a credit towards following seasons season ticket. Good deal for the season ticket holder and good deal for the club as they get 10% for nothing plus the seat is used so food, drinks, programmes etc all possibly purchased.

It also costs the club money when that 90% is taken off the money they get for the ST.

I think I remember Phil Anderton stating that 16K was the target and everyone thought he was a tad over-ambitious.

I also think (IIRC) that we hit it.

Our stadium capacity used to be under 17k before we developed the main stand so 16k was our limit then.

Maybe with half STs. Surely that would have meant we had to reduce Hibs allocation as well as OF?

I essentially count the seats in each section, and remove seats that we're pretty sure are not for season ticket sale - eg the hospitality seats in Pr, R and S in the main stand, lower T (just the end section), the 120+ unsold seats in lower G of the Wheatfield, upper X in the Gorgie, and on it goes.

Once all that's done, I'm able to work out how many seats are probably made available for season ticket sales, and I add those up to get the total that I base my figures on.

it's not foolproof - we've seen before that the club has surprised us with seats popping up that we hadn't expected - but it should be pretty close within, let's say, 100-200.

Yeah. That's as accurate as you'll get it.

I was simplistically thinking 20k tickets available, 2k kept back for away fans and segregation in the roseburn, then c.1000 hospitality seats (?), with about 800 or so tickets remaining for sale, we should be close to 16k sold but we will no doubt keep tickets back for the players plus other reasons.

Just bought 2 in the Roseburn stand for me and a mate.

Not had one for a few years now because of other commitments.

Not sure where this is coming from. Ground wasn't anywhere near big enough for 16k and we never sold near that under Romanov.  Pretty sure it was 12.5k with a waiting list.

As long as the health and safety brigade don't find out, we could reintroduce kids sitting on the perimeter track in front of the advertising hoardings. If each kid was allocated 50cm we could comfortably get 600 in (and that's keeping clear of the dugouts and tunnels), £100 a season ticket and that's another £60,000 income and perhaps several hundred new fans for life. I'll leave the club to work out the fine details like how to make the advertising hoardings visible and dealing with kids that get smacked in the face by a ball or by a player or by a Celtic fan.

And we'd have a bigger capacity than Hibs. Sorted!

Fairly certain most we sold in Romanov era was c. 14.5k although we could have sold about 18k in 2006/07 had the ground been big enough, such was the demand

I'm sure in 05/06 i was told by the ticketing staff that there was about 3/4k people including myself on a season ticket waiting list. Which would have been probably more than 16k tbh.

Where do you think the new VAR team will be sitting? Certainly not in the stadium. no need in this day and age with modern technology.

I'd imagine somewhere bespoke and remote. You do realise that during controversial moments at Tynie the broadband links will mysteriously fail and (e.g.) the 3 offside Rangers players will be missed as per usual?

No, they have already had the money for the seat twice so not an issue.

Ok I'm with you, the club get all the money for selling the ticket, and credit you with 90% of it towards next season.

That's only going to be about 3 quid a ticket they make though, is it worth the effort for the small account of business it'll do?

Maybe, but they also sell programme, food, drink, etc to the walk up that buys the ticket. Also means that more Heats fans get to watch matches and also means stadium will be virtually full most matches.

Originally there was also free access for 1 game in one of the corporate lounges. The food wisnae bad (actually quite good), but the decor was (is) kinda like my doctor's waiting area. False ceilings & stark lighting ... oh, and the tellys were a bit, ahem, budget.

So doing a quick tot up of the seats available for STs, we'd be getting pretty close to 16k.  I presume you've deducted seats held back for hospitality which would explain the larger gaps between capacity and ST availability in the Main and Gorgie stands.

If that's the case then there is a real possibility we'll break 16k once hospitality STs are taken into account, assuming H and J end up selling out or thereabouts.

Thank you.

To each and everyone of you.

The reason why? Because for the first time in my life I am able to say I am a Heart of Midlothian Season Ticket Holder.

Me and my partner and our two sons.

Wow what a feeling!!

And the reason it is viable is because of the Roseburn offer - it is cheaper and just made sense.

Living in Dundee and having quite a busy life have meant it was never really possible but when I seen it crash through 14,000 today it made me have a look into the Roseburn as a more financially sane option.

Genuinely can't believe i'm able to say i'm a ST holder. Been a member of FoH since day it began but this feels surreal.

Bring on the new season 🇱🇻

We (supposedly 😂) also had a waiting list of 6000.

At that time the Stadium only held 18k and I can't remember them saying we had any more than 13k STs.

I never heard of anyone on JKB being on this mythical waiting list.
