I feel really sorry for the poor folk who are now permanently damaged from covid. Many of whom are relatively young as well in their 30's, 40's & 50's, in fact the truth is that whilst Covid has targeted those most at risk, namely the old many of whom had serious pre-existing conditions, it has replaced the old, with younger people with serious debilitating life long conditions, in their place. The thing is, it's not just the physical impact, but the mental impact can be worse, I know I've been there, to be told that everything you took for granted, all the things you could do without even thinking about, is gone, it's history, from this day forth you have to accept that you have limitations and for you life will never be the same again. I was lucky I coped with it, although only in my late 40's at the time, but I do know people who haven't coped with their new reality, I'd imagine the same will happen with some of the victims of Covid, some will cope, some won't. Thought I might be jumping the gun but places have been getting booked out rapid the past few days. Looks like the Scottish tourist industry will be in for a welcome boom, but an influx of folk from areas with higher R numbers is pretty worrying. Scot Gov's cautious approach has really been working and now it might all go tits up because the bangers that rattle on about their 'civil liberties' prove precisely why they need to be told what to do. If people want to gamble with large gatherings then hell mend them but what really infuriated me is the pictures you see of the litter left behind in the Meadows or Kelvingrove Park. The arseholes brought their 6 cans of tennents in a bag, take the empties back in the same bag you selfish halfwits. I really hoped that all this would change behaviours.
