How long can Bell hold out. So much for the 1st Innings lead.

Third knock at the end of the second day wasn't part of the plan, and I thought this Test would be a draw before the series started! :stuart:

Boxing Day hopefulness post imo.

OUT! Bell has gone.

Aggers is astonished that a bookie has paid out on England winning the Ashes before they'd got through the batting.

He seems very despondent for some reason.

I'll still back the bookie but I won't put money on it.

AUS$400, ooo

Or is it $AUS?
There's a whole lot of runs here for England.
:)

England were cruising when I passed out and appear to have had an arse collapse whilst I was comatose! WTF?

I realise my naivety but why is out if it hits the glove?

Bat, lbw, run out and all the other stuff...just wondering folks.

Ponting has said goodbye imo.

The glove is considered a part of the bat.

Thought it would be something like that. Logic determined it so on my part. Why else...

Wicket!

Bowled!

Australia need a win but they will probably aim to set a target of 500 given what the Saffers did at the WACA a couple of years ago (Duminy's knock in that game was one of the best I've ever seen). England need at least 3 wickets tomorrow morning to stay in the game.

Enjoyed listening to TMS and finally getting a link that worked!

OZ need to stay in for a bit but need time to get the win.

There are still three days left and the way wickets have been falling so far, I can't see time being an issue.

Indeed.

England are in a bit of soapy at the moment.

Quick wickets tomorrow, hope you aren't chasing more than 400 and then trust in your batsmen.

Possibly pray for rain too, but that's unlikely I would imagine...(the rain arriving, not the praying!)

Forgot about that!

Good days batting but it could be a 4 day Test.

Still, England can still bat for a draw...

Seen it before.

Most intriguing set up for a fourth knock since the Saffers at the WACA. Let's hope for a repeat.

To me if england can get to end of few without losing another wicket could be game on.

not sure those stats for a draw are viable with no interruptions for rain

would put the draw at 0.001%

Think England look really nervous

Trott must be a nightmare to bowl against gardening between every ball making the bowler wait

With the weather forecast there is no chance off a draw here/

The Stats are for all past Test matches where over 390 runs have been reqd

Come on Aussie!

What is it with England for the past 10 years?

They are world beaters one Test and world class bottlers the next

Seems to happen every series

500 - 3 dec followed by 190 all out or whatever

Very strange, presumably over confidence or lack of mental toughness

Poorest Aussie team in decades that are there for the taking
