PsychocAndy
Haywire 8/10 Good action film with some great actors in it. McGregor, Fassbender, Michael Douglas, Banderas and Channing Tatum. Gina Carano is the main star and good she is at it too, for a MMA fighter.

rudi must stay
Tyrannosaur enjoyed is the wrong word, but I certainly wasn't bored watching this film. It's a shame our movies can't be a bit more upbeat but there you go that's the way the British film industry is at the moment. 7/

Gizmo
Triangle was a bit weird tbh 6/10 Yeah it doesn't quite hang together but damn claustrophobic at times with one really unique scene that stays in the memory. Melissa George doesn't make it hard on the eyes, either. Never Let Me Go. Knightley was as wooden and brittle as ever, but Mulligan and Garfield underplay their characters very effectively. A thought-provoking film with the central character's plight some-how made the more harrowing by the otherwise ordinary-ness of the world in which they exist. 8/

rudi must stay
The Iron Lady Don't know why Meryl Streep got all the plaudits for this, for me Jim Broadbent is just as good, if not better, than her in this. As for the film, it's pretty good, it Hollywoodises things abit but it has some great scenes and superb dialogue. 8/

Don Draper
Twelve Angry Men: 9/10 A film I'd always meant to see, and it didn't disappoint. Henry Fonda is excellent. There's no action; the tension comes from dialogue alone. Highly recommended.
HeartsLad
Life is Beautiful (Italian with subtitles) A true story about an Italian Jew who is sent with his son to a Nazi Concentration camp during the Second World War. Whilst there, he shields his 5 year-old son from the horrors of the situation by pretending they are both in a game with the other prisoners and the men in military uniform who 'shout a lot'. Deeply moving but also very funny in places. 9/10 Edited May 9, 2012 by HeartsLad
