Say What Again

Tropic Thunder 8/10

I love this film, there are so many LOL lines. :D This missus can't stand it though.

BBC had another Ben Stiller film on right after Tropic Thunder. I didn't fancy it but wasn't tired so watched that too.

The Heartbreak Kid 6/10

Thought it would be absolutely dire but there were some funny moments. Also stars the stunning Michelle Monaghan, while Malin Akerman got naked a couple of times. That helped

Dagger Is Back

Gran Torino I thought was just brilliant.

As its the hols had the misfortune of having to take the kids to the flicks.

Chip wrecked - utter drivel. Fell asleep inside 15 minutes and the worst film I've ever seen

Happy Feet 2 - utter drivel. Really had enough of these type of films. Wish the kids would grow up a but quicker!

Horrible Bosses 6/10

Was OK. Sometimes I laughed, most of the time I didn't.

I dream of having Jennifer Anistons character as my boss. :P

Got recommended this....1/10 and that is only for Jennifer Anniston. Garbage unfunny film.

Bridesmaids is another that gets 1/10, only funny moment was the trying on dresses with upset stomach section, rest was rubbish.

Green Lantern

Not as bad as I thought it was going to be, one of the villains is actually quite good in it. Very creepy

Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (201) - 8.5/10 - much more accurate portrayal of the book than the original adaptation and much more watchable

Couple of dreams-based docs...

Hoop Dreams - one of the best documentaries I've seen, tremendous. 10/10

Cave Of Forgotten Dreams - great stuff from Herzog as usual. The cave paintings are among the most jaw-dropping things I've ever seen. Whether you like the film or not, everyone should see this (I bought it for my old mans Xmas for that reason). 9/10

Dagger Is Back

Sanctum 4/10.

Don't watch it if you're claustrophobic - all in all a pretty depressing affair as 1 by 1 they all meet a watery grave.

The Smurfs 6/10

Only got 6 because it featured NY where I was in October for me big birthday

Gullivers Travels 3/10

Shit

The Out Of Towners Original 9/10

Brilliant even though it's so predictable

The life aquatic - 8/10

Had never gotten round to watching this, funny film. Bill Murray is quality but it is a really good supporting cast.

Tinker tailor soldier spy - 7/10

Quite a slow burner this one. Confusing in places but overall a decent film.

The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.

I had been meaning to watch the original version for ages but never got round to it, so watched the remake instead. Really enjoyed it and highly recommend it.

The Artist - 5/5

Your next BEST PICTURE winner unless Clooney can stop it.

I was put off this by the frankly abysmal TV advert for it; random clips from the film of people dancing around while some punters off the street's mugs flash up on screen saying stuff like "aww yeah we went to see it and it was, like, dead good".

Cowboys and Aliens

Terrible film that's just too strange an idea to work, Daniel Craig must have been given a lot of money under the table

Tideland

Simply wow. Such a film as this cannot be recommended, only discovered.

It's an unsettling journey for sure.

Margin Call - 8/10 - tense financial drama starring Kevin Spacey, Zachary Quinto, Demi Moore, Paul bettany and Jeremy Irons as stock traders in the 24 hours before the world economy went pearshaped.

Very enjoyable but some of the financial lingo was a bit complex and hard to understand (and i've got an accountancy degree!)
