Cool.  At least youre honest :) personally would say like McGeady he could be a good signing if keeping fit so hopefully we get some luck in that department.  Adam, McCarthy, McGeady and Dorrans have all shown coming back up here late on isnt as easy as it seems.

Fair comment.   Like all players with a good reputation, a lot depends on how they are deployed at a new club.  Don't ask an older player to  start learning some new role - just play to their strengths.

Looks like  Hearts are making clever use of the free agent market so far -  Clark & Snodgrass are excellent additions.

The panic button has been well and truly pressed with a 35 year old signing. If he was still up to doing a good job why did Luton let him go?

Happy clappers incoming

He rejected Luton's contract offer according to the Daily Rag.

If he had signed for either of them, or for any other Scottish club, then we would be swamped with comments from the usual haters saying he is the exact type of player we should be singing.

If he signs for us, and I'll wait for official confirmation before believing it, then those same people will come out with the 'past it, too old' comments.

Any and every player that signs for us will get my full support until the day he leaves, then I'll revert back to disliking them.

Would you have said he would be a brilliant signing for both of them?

What was your opinion of McGeady to Hibs?

Tom Hardy’s Dug

Quality is quality.

Still shows a fail in our recruitment this window but he will add something to our squad for a year.

A little desperate but much needed.

Not sure. Seems most of their fans wanted to keep him. Interesting mix of comments in the replies, though.

Yeah and hopefully see that.

Good luck Snoddy.  Always liked him as a player. :)

Happy happy happy with this. Snoddy is a very good player and a great pro. Like Craigy and Naisy, when we make "more mature" signings they need to be the right type.

Snoddy or McGeady? Snoddy or Whelan??

One year deal for an experienced player who's been over the course internationally and at top league level, decent bit of business imo. Hopefully he can be registered for Europe.

He’s quality. Seen him for Luton at times last season. Will do a job. Shame couldn’t get in time for European football

This. Absolutely mental to have Hearts fans turning their noses up at Snodgrass. Initially Berra and Naismith were both brilliant for Hearts. Gordon has remained brilliant over a 2 year period. Snodgrass can be brilliant for a year!

Wonder if Snoddy could get his big mate Carroll to Tynie? ;)

He's off to Wolves if they don't sign Costa apparently!

Could be a good signing IMO. We will benefit from having some experience in there. Hoping he's still got plenty to offer as admittedly haven't seen him play in some time

Are they Hearts fans though? That is very debatable.

Think it's a decent signing and brings a good bit of experience. What the deal for the europa games? Cleary won't be available Thursday but can we add him to the squad for the rest?

And by the time they were 35 they were awful.

Name or report mate then.  Ruining the thread constantly saying others arent Jambos.

Have you ever seen Snodgrass play football?

You are correct, should have written hold up play ie Boyce (only excuse was I was standing in poring rain). Welcome Snodgrass, hope you hit the ground running!

Definitely can play the Boyce role centrally and up front.

All roads lead to Gorgie

I wasn't sure when it was first mentioned  we might be after Snodgrass, I worried what kind of shape he might be in but he looks fine in the photo. I know he can put in some pin point crosses and inswinging corners and even if he doesn't last a full 90 he can be an attacking threat even without a lot of pace left in his legs. Welcome Robert.

Welcome Snoddy , I always said you would do well when you played for Livvy, you took the long route but you got to the famous HMFC eventually 😁👍♥️♥️G♥️

He needs to be better than Boyce in the number 10 role. Think that's a possibility?
