It's almost within range.....

I celebrated being unlocked by visiting family in Glasgow last Sunday. Nobody there was remotely interested in the OF match. But one advised 'wait till full time and if you hear fireworks you'll know who's won' Sure enough, loud bangs at 4.50.

I reckon, if Hearts win tomorrow I'll keep watching the presentation. If they lose, I'll probably go for a walk in the park.

this is a feat that we are delighted to have achieved, given how competitive the division has been”

“Our players and backroom staff deserve to be recognised as the group that took the club straight back out of, notoriously, the most difficult league in Scotland to win promotion from”

“This act will be an act of respect. Respect to our players for the ‘hard yards’ they put in over the course of the season”

It’s absolutely terrifying how clueless Budge is.

We’re in huge trouble folks.

I actually agree with the decision, but this part is definitely embarrassing:

‘players and backroom staff deserve to be recognised as the group that took the club straight back out of, notoriously, the most difficult league in Scotland to win promotion from’

That statement is one of the worst things from this season. And that is taking some going.

"Hearts fans should be grateful."

Yeh, no problem we should just be grateful to win a tin pot league we should never have been in.

Embarrassing statement.

They screwed us over and we don't want to offend them?

Please just go Mrs Budge.

It’s a truism as the teams in it are better than the teams in the leagues below...but we shouldn’t be in the blooming’ league and it’s not worth saying.

I don't have a problem with them collecting the trophy, wished they leave it on stand but no problems collecting it.

It is the language of the statement that gets me.

Respect to our opponents- why?

Respect to our players for hard yards - they are taking the piss here.

How competitive the division has been - 😄😅

Players & backroom staff deserve to be recognised 😁😆 - we are Heart of Midlothian FC ffs.

Soft as fk.

Came to say exactly this. What a day it'll be when the club stops pissing on my head and tell me it's raining.

Pick up the trophy and the take it the North Bridge where the squad can kick it up and down the street, like the rugby boys did with the Calcutta Cup some years ago.

Correct decision by the club. The seethe from some on here is most pleasing indeed.

Exactly.  Lift it up, don't pass it around, back to the dressing room.

Absolutely spot on way to approach this. Anyone that is actually offended by this needs a reality check.

Meh about whatever the players want to do re the trophy. I think muted is probably the way to go.

That statement however is atrocious.

Im not bothered tbh. I think the club in an awkward position here and I think they are trying to strike a balance.

Yeah agree im not sure they are keen to lift it but the points made around players, staff and respect for other clubs is fair enough.

They hint to the fact they will collect it and then thats it.

I think she's at the wind up.

She's got to be meaning this. 😂😂😂

Grown men will go onto a rage over this.

It has been a hard league to get out of for others, but she could word her statements better.

Something like-

Thanks for the effort

Players  deserve this little success.

Room to improve.

Hard work starts now

Least we never stayed down for 3 seasons.

We won't laugh as we pass 1 or 2 of the *******s that voted us down.

Nae luck Dundee.

Onwards and upwards.

It's a poor statement imo but whatever she says now will trigger a certain group  of fans, so maybe she's just having a laugh at the reaction.

She's not the only one.

It's about the players, they've won the league so should get to lift the trophy. Doesn't bother me in the slightest and never has, as long as they don't shake Doncasters hand

There's issues and then there's issues. This ain't one. Fans got to keep the heat on but on important things like where's the shares?

As someone who doesn't care if we lift the trophy or otherwise to publish such a statement with a litany of garbage strewn throughout just shows how far out of touch the club is with the fan base.

Utter drivel.

Right decision (for once).

Lift it up.

Walk off.

Expend energy on getting things ‘sorted’ for next season.

Looking for Robbie to turn it around in about 6 weeks. Expecting the owner to develop some grasp of the game. I assume these are the hopes for some

Hard yards? Respect for fans? Never seen any of that this season.

I remember it being  squeaky bum time  potential 4 ahead with 4 to go. Never arose of course but was put out there.
