Get on well with Moyes.. apparently.

This is the most exciting part of ever.

Moyes, Henry, Keane, Alidrice the comedy value of Kerr being mentioned.

All for Robbo to come back or MacPhee to have it until January.

I'm going with Moyes and Weir just for a wee treat.

My knickers are soaking at the thought.

I'm not greeting mate.

You and others have been doing the greeting.

I’ve noticed you bring up CL’s gambling a few times recently.

It’s not illegal and has never been an issue for the club.

What a a nasty little troll you are.

In Keane's second book he describes his time at Sunderland and Ipswich. His management style is fairly old school, kinda similar to Martin O'Neill. That may or may not work but the bigger issue is he brought a lot of players in and he wouldn't be able to do that. He did a great job at Sunderland though, getting them up and keeping them up the next season. It's a fact that is often overlooked.

Interesting rumour about Moyes.

I agree there seems to be a perception he was poor, the facts suggest otherwise. Keane versus Lennon / Gerrard would be an intriguing dug out clash!! We'd also get plenty exposure from the media.

It wasn't that long ago we were in the same position and interviewed Billy Davies and hired levein. Hopefully the process is better this time round

Tiny market but the movement in odds of Keane and Moyes might not be totally irrelevant. Not sure every huge punt is just some no mark throwing their money at a wild guess. Somebody might have heard that we are enquiring about some names bigger than a lot of us thought might be possible.

Roy Keane would last about a month - if that.

He is funny sometimes as a pundit but I don’t think he would be managing in a league such as ours.  No chance

If it was a personality contest, I'd agree.

Plenty of folk can jump around daft on the sidelines. Can't manage for shit though.

Not bothered if we sign a mono-syllabic angry nutter. We need results. The personality in the dressing-room & training pitch is all that matters.

I think a managers personality counts for a lot with regards to getting the players on side etc.

I know it's not as simple as that, but i can see the players all hating Keane after a few months.

Especially after their last album.

There is no right or wrong approach...there have been very hands on successful managers and more softly softly successes.

The problem we face is that with the poor performances there is a feeling the staff/players need to be brought into line with a hard in your face approach as if a public showing will somehow make the fans feel better

I have to admit there are a few who would be swayed by that whether it is a right or wrong approach

We all want a successful next manager but we need to be wary of just appeasing the vocal fans without making the progress the club requires

There will be interest in the job and we need Ann and co to just take enough time to consider the options and just who will fulfill the role in the manner they deem best

The only thing fans care about is winning games. Nobody cares how the manager acts on the touchline.

He knows where the goal is in big matches.

It would be interesting to know the stats for successful managers who were a

Defender

Midfielder

Attacker

How many goal keepers have even been a manager?

I'm against having another defender as a manager.

These markets are so weak that it won't take much to move them. There will be a new favourite every day until we appoint someone.

correct if i had to guess id imagine someones put on a few hundred and because there is not much liquidity they slash the odds by crazy amounts compared to a "real market" like match odds where it takes much more to move the price

Keane would be a proper laugh. Can't see it working on the pitch in any conceivable way but the bant would be good.

I’d take Roy Keane purely for the fact he’d boot half that team up and down the dressing room.

Agreed!! He's love to get (another) one over on Stevie Gerrard also! This is the ambitious signing we need. Get players who will play week in and week out and not just when the cameras are there!

Of the available candidates I’d go for neilson, Moyes or keane. If O’neill becomes available I’d go for him.

Those are the top 4 ambitious appointments. The rest of the candidates are just a bit meh.

There would be absolutely nothing ambitious about appointing Neilson at all.

Tom Hardy’s Dug

Robinson was extremely coy. There appears no doubt we have spoken to him or he knows we are interested

I don’t believe for a minute though we will

conduct a managerial recruitment process without talking to more than one person.

When asked about the reports, the 44-year-old said: "Listen, I solely concentrate on Motherwell. We have a big game on Saturday and that's my sole focus.

"We are doing well and we have to make sure we stay in that position and we have to be on top of our game to do that."
