As I said this type of pitch is designed for regular use so sorry I think the “overuse” suggestion is a bit of a cop out TBH.

J.T.F.Robertson
"Overuse" after spending a million quid to install? I know buggerall about "green keeping" but if that IS the case you can add it to the numerous millions we've pissed up against the wall over the past few years. Poseidon
Although it looked good after the very first install, it was still quite bare (when looked at closely from above) and the same goes for after the recovery from the concert. I dont know if it would have benefitted from longer time with no play on it or if it is a disease that is completely separate to that. Either way it needs fixed

J80MBO
Just watching highlights on bt sport or pitches around grounds and the fir park pitch in background of coverage... We have paid £1 million to have the worst pitch in the league. As season ticket holder for 30 years and a 20quid pm FoH pledger (so putting my share of cash into club) I am really concerned fans money is being severely squandered on and off the pitch (pun intended) with little accountability. Sure this has been discussed throughout this thread so apologies if repetition of points.
4marsbars
I'm no expert but assume that our unique combination of narrow pitch and high stands are the cause of the problem, both in terms of concentrated wear and tear, and lack of sunlight. Morph
I was happy that we invested in a new pitch but if we don’t have the means to maintain it properly then what’s the point Is a pitch like ours more expensive and difficult to maintain now that it’s hybrid or something? Other teams round the country don’t seem to have this problem, I don’t think ER which gets the same weather conditions as us is anywhere near as bad as ours is just now. It will frustrate the players to **** and it’s one less thing we could be doing with just now.

Morph
Do we have an obligation to play Scottish youth matches at Tynecastle? If someone on here knows it’s all down to overuse, then the club must also know and surely it’s as simple as finding a new pitch to play the women’s games on and not hosting Scottish youth matches? I suspect there’s more to it than that. Everything seems to be going wrong at hertz at the moment
