Think Boris will find a convenient excuse to step down - long covid is my bet.

Or he could say he is stepping down to spend more time with his families...............

The Daily Mail reference to "sleaze"  and the Geoffrey Cox front page is telling, almost unprecedented - and a warning.  Folks getting twitchy about the next election.

When I saw the telegraph reporting on sleaze within a Tory government last week it was clear to me that it was on.

The alternatives are not good!

You missed this bit ...

...government whips have (officially or not) begun actively briefing against No10. Sources close to Spencer emphatically deny he sanctioned this. Govt source: “It was a Government decison. It’s a team game, we stand or fall together”. More on

at 4pm.

This has to be unprecedented. " Every man for himself" time ?

Interestingly some of the fiercest criticism and some of the most damning sleaze revelations are coming in the pages of the Telegraph and Mail which leads me to think Bojo really is in trouble. It doesn't help Bojo that many on the right view the current government as on  a tax and spend spree (highest tax take in 70 years and all that) which makes the Blair regime in retrospect look closer to their Thatcherite ideal.

Interesting times.

The Eton Mess is a dead man walking.
I suspect he will be gone very soon. He is toxic and his attitude of a couldn’t care less Buffon eg not having a mask on whilst all around him have shows pure contempt and disrespect which is not going unnoticed.

"MPs who break the rules must be punished!", says Boris, forgetting he only just ran a three-line whip to get a rule-breaking MP off the hook

It looks like the knives are out for Johnson. He's served his purpose for the ERG and other agitators, and it seems that the public, and media, are finally getting fed up and annoyed at his stupid behaviour, lies and corruption. It's been an own goal on his part, as none of the opposition parties have been able to get him. All that's left to consider is how to replace him without causing the government too much embarrassment.

I hope Sunak and his mrs like the new decor in the No10 flat.

This is why his days as PM are numbered, I'm afraid Boris Johnson is now the story and the bumbling idiot act just won't wash this time.

When Cameron was leader in 2009 at the time of the cash for questions scandal, he was ruthless seemingly according to the TV and got rid of anybody who had anything dodgy to hide, fast forward a decade or so and Johnson either won't or can't do the same.

We are hitched to them whether you like it or not, at least until the next GE, and even then it'll depend on whether Labour get their act in gear and stop shooting themselves in the foot and handing easy victories to the Tories.

Geoffrey Cox is claiming £1,900 a month in housing expenses to rent a flat in London.

He owns a house in London, which he is renting out to a private tenant.

So he's making you pay for him to live somewhere rent-free whilst he's renting out his own place at a profit.

Oink oink.

Unless France or any of the other safe countries they passed through are oppressing them, then no they are not genuine. But as Johnson is too weak to ship them back to the Calais area I would send everyone one of them up here for your queen of hearts Sturgeon to house and water. She has tax raising powers to cover the cost. See how long that 1000 a day goes on before the inner Oswald comes out in you and the rest of her cult.
