C III R is the new E II R, wonder if they'll replace the postboxes

There are still plenty of post boxes with G II R on them.

I hadn’t noticed until the last couple of days.

One of the joys of my childhood was all of the different coins that had different Kings and Queens on them, along with the date the coins were minted. If you got a penny with Queen Victoria on it, it felt like you were holding something especially rare.

I particularly remember the penny.

It just shows how long they were in circulation.

I blame social media to a large extent. This is just the latest fad fueling a craving to be part of something / anything so that they feel they have a place in the world and can engage in some one-upmanship with their real or imaginary friends on Facebook. Weirdos.

Does this theory also cover posting endlessly on JKB on the subject of this and other threads about the death and succession?

I get the feeling Charles is like the other Charles and will interfere with Government. I hope he does.

Only to be ignored. I hope so, then everyone will see the whole monarchy thing is one big pointless waste of time!

Grown men and women queuing to see a carcass in Edinburgh. Not even that, a wooden box FFS! & Armed snipers guarding it FFS

Her grandchildren inheriting Billions.

Educated adults looking to be "reigned over"

The public really will buy into anything if its on the BBC.

I see the "Colonies" are waking up to this pish and seriously looking at becoming republics. The last thing the Empire has over them is about to be binned.

Charles is baw deep with the WEF and big businesses in pursuit of going green and the great reset, he called to have a military type campaign to marshall the strength of the global private sector forcing poorer countries to go green.Might be an interesting reign.

Posting nonsense on JKB is not a theory, it's mandatory

Apparently if circumstances had made Andrew King his image would have been facing down to look at the girl he is with.

It’s a fitting metaphor for the Royal Family, and the British publics relationship with them,

Backward-looking.

Must be - or GVR?

George II died in 1760 and (according to Wiki) the first post box in the U.K. didn’t appear until 1809, though they didn’t become common until the middle of the 19c.

There are no EIIR post boxes in Scotland.

There was one, installed in 1952 or 1953.  It was on Gilmerton Road at the Inch. It was blown up in the middle of the night and I think the authorities got the message.
