Does/Would giving up designated space for graffiti/art, help keep the the rest of the place clear? Just wondering.

For me yes, some of the murals you see in Leeds, and other Cities, look good, but all crap stuff just looks a mess. If the owner of a building or a wall or bridge is happy for graffiti artists to use their property I'd be fine with it, it would benefit genuine artists I'd think.

LMAO

Sunak's underdog tag tripped him up again tonight.

Rishi Sunak has continued a noble political tradition by getting it wrong when talking about football.

At a Tory leadership hustings in Manchester on Friday, the ex-chancellor spoke about his favourite football team, Southampton, as he branded himself an “underdog” in the race against Liz Truss.

He was asked how as a Southampton FC fan he would get back to winning ways.

“I’m going to be unpopular for saying it here, starting by beating United this weekend,” he said.

Southampton are not due to play Manchester United until August 27. The Saints are in fact scheduled to face Leicester City this weekend.

👍The billy Connolly stuff looks good in Glasgow and there's a belter in paisley. But the other stuff is just vandalism.

Spaffer's has been on two foreign holidays since this contest started.  And it's still going.

And he's still our Prime Minister.

If anybody ever wanted the perfect example of sticking two fingers up to the electorate...

No more trips to Ukraine to play the role of the wartime leader, now that it wouldn’t deflect from his reputation as a clown who needs to be replaced.

As luck would have it, he’s going to be replaced by another clown who the Russians have already made to look like the fool she is.

I would say he's worse than Trump.

Rather than refusing to leave, he had his bags packed and off at the drop of a hat.

A despicable human being.

And the public will soon  get a chance to REALLY get to know Liz Truss.

Whether this poll is valid or not be fun seeing the reaction amongst Conservative MPs.

That is the most ridiculous take on this situation.

Either wilfully ignoring the optics of this, or you're one of those folks that light bends around.

If LBC was the BBC and Rachel Johnson was given her disc jockey gig by her brother then you would have a point. But that's not the case.

You are either a troll or an idiot.

She's interviewing her bloody father about her brother and has in the past defended her other brothers "elevation" to the Lord's.

A quite spectacular incidence of poor editorial decision making by LBC.

That's LBC's problem who I couldn't care less about.

Doesn't warrant the Banana Republic accusations towards the UK.

No the hiving off of public money to Spaffer's mates warrants the Banana Republic comparisons.

That and the fascistic closing down of dissent and scrutiny.

Very Idi Amin.

I agree, the UK is one enormous **** up, corrupt to the core of the system, and ambivalent to its population, but it's not a republic.

If Boris was like Idi Amin, you would be terrified to speak out against him. But you are clearly not afraid. So let's put this myth to bed.

The moves to severely restrict protest by Patel are nudging the "UK" in that direction.

Correct, they can shut it down if it's noisy, disruptive, or even goes beyond a set start and end time.

Government approved protest time is over people, disperse or you will be dispersed.

Also baffled me that she was getting so much support from within the party when it’s well known she has a pea sized brain with a planet sized ego.

I read a bit the other day too about people being able to join the overseas conservatives. How many are people with interests pushing her over the line?
People who aren’t British, have never lived or paid a penny tax here but can vote on who becomes our PM?

Banana republic.

I'd always suspected that it was Rees Mogg who was filling her head with the nonsense she's been coming out with and then backtracking on due to us not understanding what she actually said.

All that matters to Johnson's mates is that Sunak doesn't win. They'll never forgive him for being involved in him finally having to resign.

Meanwhile, they are causing the electorate to think about what they are seeing and hearing about Conservative thoughts, whilst Truss and Sunak scramble for a job they are likely to lose again in a couple of years. Just long enough to get the decorators back in to change the interior of No10.

At the very least, you wouldn't expect either of them to win an outright majority without a slogan designed to have people worry about Johnny Foreigner again. Although, it looks like they're trying to promote a "Save Brexit" mantra now.

A classy response from Macron and he nails it.

Lots of people in this country will align to Truss though as France is “allowing these flotillas of dinghies” unfettered access to our shores.
