Train driver is pushing it. They'll be driverless soon enough, hopefully and these folk can step back onto reality and pick fruit, as they have no other skill.

😂

What's wrong with picking fruit?

The testing they go through now is pretty rigorous, not many silly Billy's get the job.

Imagine hoping people lose their jobs for asking for a pay rise, lower than a snakes belly.

See when folk call the snp nazis I used to laugh and think it was ridiculous.

The longer they are in power and you hear their more fervent supporters the more it makes sense.

Your offer would basically shut the railway in Scotland for years.

I'm sure we'd all love an inflation busting, cost of living pay rise. A grand a week isn't too bad with the shite most folk are up against.

Feck it let's give the whole state a 9% pay rise, I'm sure we're all up for paying the high tax required.

More tax, better services, not more tax for extortionate wages.

Anyway, I don't use the train, so couldn't give a feck. The more I think about it, get them stopped and give the bus drivers a pay rise, they at least need to deal with the public, more traffic, and they too get people jumping in front of them.

Mon the buses!

It's true though, I've voted for them the majority of my adult life but there's a real nasty side that comes out if they are criticised or someone disagrees, it will be their downfall.

I've always thought this. I sometimes think he's a unionist troll who's at it. Wouldn't be the 1st time it's happened here.

Looking at the state of the ScotRail employees it certainly looks like they are due a pay rise. I’d make it a condition of any pay offer that they smarten themselves up a bit.

Ked, your wrong about the wages and wrong about the Pension.  And you know nothing about the contract they are on.  Or industrial relations in the railway in general.

Dazo the reason the staff are scruffy is that they have had no new uniform since the start of the Abellio contract. (2015). Lots of guys buying there own trousers etc.

Thats not a new uniform though, thats a top up.

The shirts, trousers and jacket are all brand new when I receive them.

So as far as I am concerned that is new uniform to me.

I know they are struggling with uniforms getting issued.

Seems if you are lucky you get it straight away.

Abellio were hopeless the last few years and it has not got better in my depot since.

There were guards who finished training and started on trains without Uniform when I was there.
