Thomson1874
Good to finally add a left back into the squad. Wonder if we might rely on one of the younger lads as backup there as well as utilising Halliday at LWB. Great for the club to have the majority of the squad signed up beyond the end of this season as well. We’re starting to build a really strong squad. cocobeab
Craig Gordon behind any combination from … Smith, Halkett, Kingsley, Atkinson, Sibbick, Rowles, Neilson and Cochrane…. … with any of Haring, Halliday, Baningime or Devlin in front of them. Theres maybe no individual stand outs like Jardine, Pressley, Fyssas, Webster, Souttar or Levein but that’s potentially as strong a defensive pool as we’ve ever had in my life time. *Rowes & Neilson subject to. confirming their reputation

That'd make a first team of 26, plus 6 youth players - we'll need that for SPFL, Europe, B team in Lowland league. I really do think the B team will give the first team a boost with players not on loan, showing form and fitness hopefully. As for existing squad - big test years for McEneff, Henderson and Gino. Hope all 3 have great seasons; I'd love to see Henderson do well. I'd guess Smith, Haring, GMS, Boyce all likely to leave / maybe offered a 1 year extension if they keep in form. Debut 4
Good player. I know it’s a cliche, but he’s got potential. It’s up to the management to help him realise it. Like JJ did with Naysmith, Locke, Ritchie..etc. the lad needs more aggression put into his game and be more of a threat in forward areas from wing back. Tom Hardy’s Dug
I think as has been said before at 21 if Cochrane had come through our academy we’d be raving about him. Also ok, he could add a bit more “wing” to the wing back position but if you look at each of his goals last season they were finished excellently, he took up great positions to get there and if you strip it back if he does that twice as often as he did last season we have a LWB than defends will and could get us 6 goals this season. Add Kingsley likely to get at least 6 this season… Its not too shabby at all for the left side of our defence… Edited June 25, 2022 by Tom Hardy’s Dug
