The scenario is, unconfirmed that Ukraine sent up one of the Turkish drones to divert the defensive systems.

Then used the stormy weather conditions to send the missile with range of around 60 kilometres to skim the water undetected.

Missile is Ukrainian made.

Brilliant if true.

Seems from the people doing analysis (I read loads earlier today) the Russians only option is to completely withdraw their fleet.

How so?

Because they are sitting ducks now to be destroyed.

Ok. Got ya. But only in stormy weather if they get distracted by any more drones though.

I'm not sure about that. But it has shown the Russian navy are as incompetent as large parts of their army. Which is nice.

"Russia can't transfer warships from elsewhere to replace her as Turkey has closed the Bosphorus to military traffic"

Turkey supposedly equally an ally of Russia also flying in new equipment daily.

Ukraine getting its equipment by road from Poland and by air from Turkey. Strangely nothing Russia is doing to stop it. Total incompetence.

The latest from Russia is that the Moskva didn't sink. It's on a special underwater operation.

Expect the glorious news about the new Russian submarine tomorrow once Peskov gets the memo.

If this is the the same warship that was told to go **** themselves, this is utterly, utterly brilliant.

Of course it sounds good that a Ukrainian made missile sunk the ship, but it's no coincidence that the UK supplied them with anti ship missiles this week

I'm sure I read recently that Turkey are pissed off with Russia after some of their soldiers were killed (accidently or otherwise) by the Russians, dunno where it happened though.

Ukraine reckons the Captain of the ship died in the attack.

US officials say the ship was hit by two Neptune missiles.

Probably just as well for him. I can't imagine he was the only either.

Remember those Hitler football videos?

Having to tell Hitler this team or that team had been beaten.

Thats how I imagine this would look.

”you tell him”

”no you tell him, you’ve known him longer”

”I’m saying nothing”

”hey who’s that General that smells funny?Let’s have him do it. He always wants to be involved. Now his ****ing chance. Get him in here. He can tell him”

Not sure if the bulk of the crew had already been evacuated following the missile strikes. They might then have tried to get out of there with a skeleton crew and clearly didn't make it.

BBC: US officials, speaking anonymously, say they believe the Russian missile cruiser Mosvka was hit by two Ukrainian Neptune missiles and there were Russian casualties when the ship sank.

Russia says the Moskva, the flagship of Russia's Black Sea Fleet, sank after a fire onboard. The 510-crew warship was a symbol of Russia's military power, leading its naval assault on Ukraine.

Anton Gerashchenko, an adviser to Ukraine's ministry of internal affairs, said the ship's captain, Anton Kuprin, had died during an "explosion and fire on board".

Dominic Raab, Grant Shapps, Priti Patel, Rishi Sunak, Kwasi Kwarteng, Nadine Dorries, James Heappey, Nicola Sturgeon, Suella Braverman and Theresa May have been named alongside Boris Johnson, Liz Truss and Ben Wallace on the blacklist of UK politicians not allowed into Russia.

Russia's counter sanctions are hilarious.

At a guess, Sturgeon's on that list as a result of her recent long drawn out contretemps with a certain RT presenter.

Possibly she was right at the top of the list, of a certain RT presenter.
