Not mine (obviously) - can't remember where I found it and it looks like it should be a fake but 🤷‍♂️

Interesting(ish) tale behind that picture.

It looks like Belgium have 6 men 'marking' auld Diego. In actual fact he got the ball from a short free kick and thats the Belgian wall that had just broken as he received it.

Interesting tale behind this picture.

It looks like Hibs have just conceded the 5th goal in what was, and still is, the biggest game in their tawdry history and their tormentor-in-chief is taking the piss.

The camera is not lying.

This pic says it all . The shush from king Rudi to the dejected Hobbo on the deck to the other one head down . Incredible

Having a soft spot for St Helens, I was never a fan of Kevin during his playing days despite his talent. But what a hero and role model he has become after Burrows horrible disease.

I took this in my garden... I call it "Spring is in the Air". Thinking about submitting it to the Countryfile calendar competition.

Nice shot

I'd crop it down a little to reduce the wall in the foreground if you're going to enter it

The woman died fairly recently and apparently the photo was very much staged (quite successfully given how spontaneous it looks!) After it became so iconic various couples claimed to have been the couple in the photo and there was various litigation about it.

Early example of photo manipulation. I

t was edited so you couldn’t see that the lower of the soldiers was wearing looted watches on both wrists.

I would never have taken it for a staged photo. I'd never seen it till I was given this book a couple months ago and it's definitely a favourite of mine.

Photo was also staged the day after the battle, for propaganda purposes.
During the battle they flew the flag from a window about halfway up the building.

Much the same as the Iwo Jima flag raising, which was also stage managed propaganda.
