Obviously they exist. But not as sovereign nation states which I thought was pretty obvious what I meant and is undeniably true.

Make your mind up.

Is it Schrodinger's England?

Better to be comfortable and confident making racist statements than just doing so for an internet chuckle.

An observation not a statement. An observation based on the empirical evidence to hand.

I would never ever make a racist statement about our future Chinese overlords.

Maybe just me but countries within the union sharing resources shouldn’t really be a negative thing.

Regardless I think I’ve been hearing about England running out of water for my whole life. Think they will be okay.

You think pumping our water down there to private water boards is ok? Companies have barely invested since the 90’s paying out huge bonuses to bosses?
These same companies that were emptying their raw sewage into waterways.
Ah well there’s trillions of the stuff up the road there we’ll just take that?
How long till we’re in drought too because they let millions of gallons go to waste?

Im just waiting for that to be running oot if this indyref 2 ever gets granted permission from our overlords down the road.

Are all the kback  unionists Tories or will you be voting Labour at the next  GE due to the numerous scandals ?

If you still intend to vote Tory your no different to a cult member .

I'm genuinely interested as to how far you will accept thier nonsense.

Most normal Tories I know won't be voting but the GB News anti EU , migrants and grooming gang fanatics

seem to think it's a leftwing  stichup ..

Probably for another thread .

Yip, but as Dazo has said, I also remember droughts and hosepipe bans in the 70's.

Don’t spill your coffee with what I’m about to write ! It’s some bit of praise for the SG . 😎

I recently attended an online training session related to Social security Scotland and them taking over the responsibility for Disability living allowance and PIP . The handover is now complete and it is now the Scottish Govt responsibility to authorise these benefits . Both PIP and DLA claimants will be transferred to the Adult disability payment in due course .

The presentation was excellent . There is a real emphasis on treating potential and current claimants with respect and dignity , unlike the UK approach which claimants felt stigmatised them and made them feel like they were chancers and not genuine with their claims .

The new service is definitely more customer based and accessible too with a variety of ways one can contact SSS . The assessment process is also more customer focussed and not set out to

” trap “ people . Their applications will be considered with all available evidence and not just medical evidence but other evidence too .

Crucially if your deemed to have a

“chronic “ health condition , your claim will only be reviewed between 5 to 10 years after . There may also be some who will be awarded a lifeline claim due to their chronic health condition . This is in response to the horror stories previously were people with no limbs etc. were constantly reviewed !

Ofcourse there will be a rigorous process of awarding these benefits so it’s not s free for all but as stated it’s underpinned by humanity and respect.

Ironically, the dying embers of PIP in Scotland is when I've had to apply, and I got turned down a few weeks ago. Having to appeal and all that jazz, it's pretty depressing.

My doctor's told me I won't work again, the dole's signed me off for the next year at least (they can't bring themselves to take the doctor's word!) and I'm awaiting specialist appointments where they'll decide what assistance I need.

I'll get the award in the end. But I applied at the start of April, by the time it's appealed and what have you, I'm probably looking at 6 months down the line. Half a year where I needed the help.

That thing you do

Pooling and sharing in one direction.

England needs, Scotland gives.

Make no mistake. Union dividend is us supporting England, not the other way round.

I posted this earlier and its amusing that this was discussed on here a while ago and as always it was completely rubbished.
England doesn’t need our water they said.
The fact there’s probably not a thing anyone can do about it and the water will go to private companies is pretty nuts.
Wont fix their shite infrastructure and still handing out huge salaries and bonuses and now starting to pump water from here to keep it going in all likelihood.
It’s almost uncanny how everything that is rubbished and laughed off just tends to keep on happening.

Can we revisit the question tho?

Can you **** you’ve had one in 314 years how many you wanting likes?!
it’s no our fault you believed what we told you last time us seems to be the mantra😐

Sorry to hear that ! Ffs . But as you’ll be aware most people get pip on their appeal . But that’s not the point really as it’s still stressful and Ofcourse financially a hindrance for you at the present time . As I said in that posting the Scottish system is more fair and less hurdles to jump through . Good luck

Cheers. You know more about it than most, it's not the type of thing you can pretend to have. You'd think it would be easy, or at least not brutal!

Do me a favour though, take a step back and look at these things;

awarding benefits to those who need it

providing water with no drama, excess billing, or shareholders to feed

free prescriptions at the counter

You slaaaaaag them, but is there honestly any doubt that the Scottish government gives more of a **** about the human beings that inhabit the place?

You slag the SNP and Scottish government all the time, you frequently hold them up as a reason why independence wouldn't work, say they're corrupt.

But we can show they GAF about our lives, or are at least less uncaring than Westminster.

I don't believe that Scotland and England are in a union though. The United Kingdom is a result of a union between Scotland and England 300 years ago. I don't see the UK as being made up of a union between four separate countries. The UK is no different to France or Germany in my mind.

I'd suggest you're in a majority of one in that view.

You'll probably find that the current government feel that the the UK is no different to England in their minds.

One of them pretty much alluded to that in an editorial for the Daily Express today.

I’m assuming this isn’t for free … and also that the farmers and other U.K. companies and citizens very much need the water… we would be expected to help out here, wouldn’t we ?

For the benefit of doubt I don’t see Scotland in some sort of deficit and cap in hand to U.K. as it’s often portrayed through GERs and the press which seems to be why you are making this point.
We are a very important part of the British Isles and with future switch to renewable and pressures from global warming we will be more important.

But on a serious note , more examples of good Governance from the SG and I might be a Yes as i said.  Yes i know that the SNP might not be the party in charge in an Indy Scotland but there's a strong likelihood  they will have influence in policy and vision.

Like inventing the thing that allows you to post?

Or the hundreds if not thousands of great things important things given to the world from English people.

Forward thinking for Scotlands independence shouldn't include anti English sentiment as its actually a backward way to make the case for most forward thinking people.

Would you not agree?
