Are you suggesting it’s nonsense that being vaccinated makes you much less likely to catch Covid and also much less likely to spread it to others?

This thread is about vaccine passports.

And Vaccine Passports are about getting people vaccinated to reduce the risk of spreading the virus.  The clue is in the name.

You’re entitled to your choices. It’s your body, your life. Just a shame that others need to be impacted by your choices is all.

The more restrictions that come in against the unvaccinated (by choice) the better. You can sit there celebrating how brave and single-minded you are while rightly excluded from society due to your selfish stupidity.

Society moves on and in the same way I now don’t have to sit next to someone smoking in a bar, restaurant or match and breathe in their smoke , I hope it becomes the norm with non-vaccination too.

James life is all about making decisions and choices. Of course everyone is free to make their own choices and I for one have no issues with that, but we all have to live with the consequences of our decisions and sometimes these consequences impact on others. I personally think that people who opt not to get vaccinated are being selfish; they are not thinking about the possible consequences for others. If we all make that personal decision to get vaccinated then it may well reduce the requirement for vaccine passports and the wearing of masks.

Where fascism and being frightened and scared of the day that may never be seen comes into it, well I just don't know? I simply want to get to the position where this Government no longer has any excuse to impose on how I go about my daily life. If getting vaccinated contributes then all to the good and I cannot help but get irritated by those who are quite happy to have no thought on how their personal decisions can help us to get where we surely all want to be.

All about personal choice IMO.

I'm double jagged but I chose to do it. I know lots of younger folk who are not and that's their choice.

I couldn't care less if someone is or is not.

Some of your posts come across as reasonably comprehensible and your arguments make some sense. Then you slip back into deranged, shouty mode and come out with nonsense like this. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Would you care if that person was standing next to you in a bar, without a mask, and announced to you after ten mins of chat that he/she was unvaccinated?

The only thing my face was tripping from was the second half performance.

From the reporting on the news there has been a lot of confrontations reported by those unvaccinated trying to chance it and getting KB'd across the events industry.

At the end of the day all that will happen if people don't follow the rules or enforce the VPs is that in the likes of football we will be back to sub-5k crowd restrictions.

Never heard of anyone getting a knockback on Saturday. In fact they had to concede that it was way out of hand trying to check anyone so it was just a free for all when the clock starting ticking to match time.  AS i predicted .

I've been in loads of bars where there isn't a mask in sight and the chat is never about vaccinations.

I wouldn't give a shit if someone standing next to me was vaccinated or not.

People just need to let go of this obsession

My age and life experience have led me to the point where I don't believe everything I'm fed through the media and also that there are far more worrying and serious threats to my being happy and healthy than a virus that has a 99.9% survival rate.

I don’t entirely disagree, I agree it’s personal choice, I would encourage everyone to talk to their doctor to discuss the benefits vs negatives of getting vaccinated. We usually take their advice about what medications we require.

He will be the first to complain if restrictions start getting reintroduced.  He has been bashing on for six months that the pandemic is over yet the UK is heading for another car crash while the government has its head in the sand.

Fair enough and definitely wouldn’t believe everything the god awful media tell us, especially in the UK. I pay much more attention to scientists and medical experts and with that in mind can only applaud the bravery of your care-free attitude, especially as a senior member of society.

I really hope we don’t go down the route of more lockdown restrictions. Instead I’d like to see the vaccine passports enforced stringently and extended to include more venues, just like smoking.

Your erratic posts suggest otherwise.

Apart from being currently ill in bed with Covid, my quality of life just now is fantastic thanks. My two young daughters are the centre of my world and everything else is secondary.

That’s what you’re not getting. It’s not about “the rest of you” getting on with living. You’ve already said you’re double-vaccinated so can do what you like. As can I. Those who’ve chosen not to be are the ones whose lives have just become more restricted and hopefully become even more restricted as we move forward.

There were protests about the smoking ban too iirc and folk talking about “fascists” and the “smoke police”. That all went away quickly, as will this, when they realise the vast majority of society is against their stance.

If wanting to restrict the unvaccinated from infecting others call me a fascist. It’s a ridiculous use of a term which has caused death and misery over human history but if it makes you more comfortable to use it then go ahead.

Having just went and read your posts back at the start of this thread I actually can’t take you seriously any more to be honest so think I’ll leave it there. Washing your shopping 😂
