Won the Championship by 12 Points (title updated)

If you ask any team in our league who their best performance was against this season then I'm pretty sure most would say a game that they played Hearts. Truth is that they raise their game against us but not against each other hence all the drawn games in the Championship. We are not as good as we could be but also not as bad as some of our support allege and in my opinion will be top six next season comfortably with a couple of decent signings in the summer when hopefully Savage justifies his reputation. Apart from the bad grammar, that's an anachronism, in some ways regrettably perhaps (female commentators).  But as far as backroom staff, fans etc., your macho bullmerde is just the kind of nonsense we men need just now, not!!!

Yeah that’s wonderful grammar isn’t it , not 🤔🤷🏾‍♂️😆🙈. It’s a message board not an essay.
Unfortunately when a female assistant referee or a physio comes on the pitch you can hear we have quite a way to go with sexism.
The way Budge is treated by the rest of Scottish football and by some of our fans show this too. The dressing room and the training ground in any male sport still has a macho driven aspect, you only need to look at Naismith’s comments in the cup final programme to see that.
You don’t know me, I’m very much aware of the current situation and if you in read back you will see I didn’t condone it in any way, unlike some institutions that you are involved in. In fact just yesterday I pulled someone up on here for a misogynistic comment on the other Scottish football thread, have you ever done that on here 🤔? Here’s a couple of images amongst the many I’ve shared in the these last few days. You shouldn’t judge people by what they say about their football club on a message board.

3 league games to play this month. Hopefully take 9 points and that's us well out of sight.

Yup, 3 wins put us at 51 points. For Raith Rovers to reach 51  they would need 7 wins and a draw from their remaining 9 games (with the goal difference Raith would need 7 wins and 2 draws or 8 wins.) Dunfermline to reach 51 points, they would need 8 wins in their remaining 10 games (with the goal difference Dunfermline would need 8 wins and 1 draws or 9 wins.)

It wasn’t just the male macho culture, it was the complete absence of training and development in the business side at Hearts. It was “figure it out for yourself, don’t step onto the wrong turf, and swim, sink or get out” management. AB has changed a lot more than the public see behind the scenes and deserves a lot more credit for improving our club than she gets.

To be fair, I did like your flier images...you certainly wouldn’t have seen anything like that around Tynecastle pre AB 😄

I wasn't aware of female assistant referees getting sexist abuse from Hearts fans so that's very disappointing.

I do recall a few wolf whistles at the start of Karen Gibson's time with us but thought that situation had improved.

Speaking of Karen - where is she now?

That’s interesting. I do like the fact we have banned certain fans but some of the stuff you still hear where we sit/stand next to section N shows we have a long way to go unfortunately. The documentary wasn’t great and I take it she must signed off on it.
I saw her drive up Wheatfield Street in her big white Porsche a few months ago in the afternoon and just wondered why at her age with her money why bother with all the hassle.

Is she still not there? Was she the one that diagnosed what was actually wrong with Uche, and they didn’t listen to her and eventually a specialist got to the root of the problem.
It’s not everyone but once someone does it then others are emboldened and try to be funny in front of their pals, a microcosm of what we see in society today.

Indeed. Why would anyone put money into a club and end up criticised? I guess, she, like us, is a fan at heart. And, TBF, she was by some distance the best person to step up and save the club. What she has built is a huge improvement on what was there when I was....apart from the mistake she made in putting so much trust in CL to lead the footballing side and not rectifying it when it started unravelling.

I think a lot us have seen in the last year it’s good to have something to occupy your time and have some structure, it’s well known that folk of retirement age miss the daily interactions with people. I can’t see her heading to the pub for a few hours every day somehow.
Unfortunately for everyone it was a huge mistake.

You can’t judge a manager after three months in that situation.
Have I said I want RN sacked? I would like him to realise he’s working for the 3rd biggest club in this country and act like it, not worry about poor tiny teams in a tinpot league and attack as we did in the first game of the season. Not the slow build up that allows teams to get back behind the ball and then labour to score goals. Yes clubs all over Europe have sacked managers after winning promotion, I think Watford did it recently.
She brought no investment into the club, the benefactors approached her to help pay for Save the Children to sponsor us. James Anderson and his wife are passionate about helping kids so they set up that deal. If the benefactors and the FoH hadn’t given over £20m into the club we would be worse off. We do have debt of sorts I’m afraid to tell you.
I would like Budge to leave her position and go and enjoy her money. The club is far too cosy and soft from top to bottom and she has set that standard, she has had successes but her failures out weigh them particularly on the football side. She should face the consequences for that as anyone else would. If Peter Lawell can get emptied after the success they’ve had then sure as hell she can too.

Nah , think her major success was and always will be stepping saving the club bringing massive stability all round at the club, don't think any benefactors would have been as keen to step in and help with a pieman or lawell type chairman. They were all genuine questions that I didn't know the answers to, so you want Robbie to stay but Ann to go. Also I'm quite sure Ann helped set up FOH, But some folks gonna be selfishly ungrateful with their own agendas. Your correct in wanting to keep Robbie as he's skating it, glad Ann got him another of her plusses from me.

I’m not sure if she had anything to do with the FoH either but could well be wrong there.
Neilson isn’t going anywhere so we will just have to hope he finds his big boy pants from today moving forward. He’s not skating anything I’m afraid as large parts of the support wanted him to leave and didn’t want him back, and are less than enamoured with his style of play or results in this tinpot league.
The benefactors did ask her to hang around for the next few years.
Her biggest mistake was bringing Levein to the club never mind giving him the managers job and may well be what she’s most remembered for.

15 points ahead, with 21 to play for.  Dunfermline and Raith both with a couple of games in hand, but one of the catch up games is one v the other.  Realistically speaking, it's only a guaranteed 9 or 10 points ahead until we see what happens in the games they have to play.

We've got Arbroath away, Queen of the South at home, and then Dunfermline away for our next 3 games.  If we pick up 6 points from the next 2, we could still be 10+ points ahead with 15 points to play for.  Beating Dunfermline would seal the deal.

The end is in sight, and I hope the players know that they have to give their all to make sure that we get it over and done with as soon as possible.

"large parts of the support wanted him to leave and didn’t want him back" what evidence do you have for that?

The recent poll on JKB, which has over 30,000 members, resulted in a couple of hundred anti-Nelison votes wanting him out. It's a tiny tiny boring, but loud and endless, anti-Hearts/Budge/Neilson/FoH minority of which you are one.

You can’t equate JKB with all Hearts fans, have a look at the clubs social media where most people are questioning him.
Im basing it on my memory and what people said at the time, they might not want him to leave now though considering what happened after he left.
I’m not anti-Hearts or FoH, I wouldn't contribute so much money to both if I was. I won’t apologise for having higher standards than you or anyone else, that’s how we got in this mess.
Skating is a good term to describe Neilson, some think he’s flying without a care in the world and others think he’s on thin ice.

There's a lot of 'so called Hearts related social media' that's a cess pit of bigotry and anti-Budge hate, hardly a source for a true representative opinion of the vast majority of decent HMFC fans. 30,000 JKB signed members is a good/better guide than the minority on the outer reaches of rationality on some of the social media sites.

It worked out to something like 0.8 of JKB members voted for Neilson out....0.8%..enough said.

Did he? Wow. He was a ****ing awful player by the way. Big teams don’t worry about tiny teams, they swat them aside the majority of the time and part of it is the confidence that they’re simply of a higher quality. Can you imagine the fans of any other third biggest team in any country being  happy because they’re 8 games unbeaten in a tinpot league. Ayrs main striker looked like a security guard or a bus driver who left the real guy behind in Troon. Their first sub looked like he won a competition to get a game or was dragged of a street corner and had his cider confiscated.

It wasn’t reality a good poll as there wasn’t really an option of supporting RN, as a result only about 1k answered it. Like most polls of that size it’s not representative. What is your scientific and representative study? JKB users? That didn’t vote. Have you just overlooked match threads this season where the same 6 or so people make excuses for another average performance and far more criticise RN and the team. If JKB is your evidence go and look at today’s match thread and get back to me.

Pretty sure we're not worrying much about the other teams. Showing them respect maybe. Robbie's put us in a position where we can start thinking about next season and try some things.

The Championship may be tinpot but it's a lot more interesting and competitive than the Premiership, especially looking down from afar from our vastly superior position at the top as we've always done under Robbie Neilson.

I don't see any difference in quality in the football played by the top 6 of the Championship compared to the bottom 6 of the Premiership. Dunfermline, Dundee, RR, Caley. Switch them with Hamilton, Killie, St Mirren and County and I wouldn't notice or care.

What we are doing is winning a shite league at a canter, partly because of how shite the other teams are but also because we're extremely dominant and good at winning more points than everyone else. This is what the OF do every single season one of them wins the league.

Have you just overlooked match threads this season where the same 6 or so people make excuses for another average performance and far more criticise RN and the team. If JKB is your evidence go and look at today’s match thread and get back to me.

Yeah yeah "it wasn't really a good poll" blah blah....0.8%(around a couple of hundred) ...get that 0.8% voted OUT.  The poll was started because the tiny minority of loud bores on here claimed the 'majority' of fans wanted him out and they'd hold a poll to prove it.....laughable.

It's the same loud endless bores on every match day thread (and every other thread for that matter), "we were terrible for 10mins in the first" etc etc sack himzzzzzz..I don't even have to read the thread but I could produce a list of whose being negative on it......

So, well done Robbie another win, strolling the league.

Did many, if any,  want him in the first place? Would have made a more interesting poll.

Indeed he is skating this league with ease - results and position in the league tell me that, just because a few vocal supporters want him to leave (aeroplane arseholes)  doesn't change that . So Ann Budge will be remembered most for bringing back CL ????  WOW !  His management is forgotten about now by the ordinary fan , it's only the malcontents that keep casting up the past of CL to try to use it as a stick to beat Robbie - and BTW only the bad patch of his management or he employed Cathro etc yawn , yawn , yawn because apart from his last stint managing CL is a Tynie legend whether the malcontents like it or not. Skooshing it 👍

It’s not a minority im afraid. So because nobody voted that means they didn’t agree or disagree. How baby folk do you know that’s happy with him, bear in mind the likelihood is I’ve spoken to a lot of Jambos since he returned.
Don’t think for a minute that you happy clappers that loved Levein and his disciple are any less boring.

Well done Robbie we're Skating it into the Premier

👍

It’s just a few 😆,  you’re not on here much are you. The ordinary fan, does any Hearts fan need reminded of what league we are in and the two people most responsible for that? The mess Neilson is still trying to clean up, which is actually hindering him from getting in more quality like Frear/Popescu/Halliday/Roberts/Kastaneer. The current playing strum is being used to criticise Neilson, you should look at a match thread after a win never mind a loss.
If I’m reading you right you’re saying Leveins only bad patch of management is the last three years at Hearts? I’m sure the Leicester fans and Tartan army ******s might contradict that. So that’s three out of the five main jobs he’s had.
