This is why I didn't want him in charge, there is absolutely no way he was ever a long term option for this club. This season couldve been used to bed in a proper team to hit the ground running in the top flight, but we've picked a Scottish championship specialist who serves little purpose in the top league - hence we're already looking at yet ANOTHER potential rebuild on the cards for next season. Never came away from any game this season and thought we look well coached - Dundee game flattered us. Whereas other championship sides have embarrassed us with basic organisation and aggressive attitudes yet on a fraction of the budget. We play like a bunch of pensioners. Stinks of "the right man was down the corridor all along" type vibe as with Levein. Budge has to go at the end of this season. Surely Savage has contacts to take her role. For this the buck stops with Nielsen and his coaches. I can accept defeat, but it is at the manner that is most worrying. If Nielson can't get the best out of the squad it's time for him to either step down or be removed. Budge needs to grow a pair, saying that she has been part of problem for last 3 seasons. Why oh why does a Hearts team still find it hard to start games with real urgency, tenacity and impose itself properly? No game of football is easy, the opposition aren’t going to let you do what you want , but don’t let them do what they want! Hearts have truly lost the natural ability to compete. Something that was always a default for Hearts as a minimum in the past.
