Dream start for Norwich - Newcastle down to 10 men after 9 minutes.

This is exactly the type of game Norwich will lose now 😐🤣😐

Question : if Norwich "extra man" is Grant Hanley, is that actually an advantage ?

Not at all, along the same lines that Ciaran Clark getting sent off significantly improves the Newcastle back line.

1-0 Newcastle

Norwich should just **** off to the Championship, and out of respect for everyone else, stop trying to come back up.

Rafa's self opinionated small club up against his former employers tonight.

Expect park the bus football to avoid a good horsing

Players off in the Chelsea game due to medical incident in the crowd. Was this a new directive or just coincidence something tragic has happened twice on close succession.

Just said someone had a heart attack 🙁🙁 hope they're okay.

In his pre match press conference yesterday Benitez said his job is safe because the owner realised changing managers hasn't worked.

I'm not so sure.

Would not make any difference what manager had these players they are not good enough to trouble Liverpool, who are just ama<ing at this moment in time.

Only a matter of time before Rafa brought out how much other clubs spend when things start going downhill (inevitably) under his management

In fairness to Rafa, they have been without Calvert-Lewin, Richarlison and Sigurdsson for much of the season.

Can’t do much about Coleman’s mistake either but the game was balanced until that moment.

Not spent as much as Everton, Everton have spent 500M since 2016 when Moshiri came in.

Rafa is paying the price for the shocking way the club has been run and the money what has been spent in recent seasons by other managers.

He never mentioned this when he took the job or indeed when Everton got off to a good start.

When things don't go right Rafa always blames other factors rather than himself and it's usually to do with finances.

FACT!

You're right its a blame game for him. If Liverpool hammered them and they were in the top 4 would he made they comments last night, They haven't won in 8 games he needs to be looking closer to home and have a reality check.

Ironic he was having a dig at Everton when he was Liverpool manager for having men behind the ball and playing the counter attack.

To be fair to Benitez they all blame things when it doesn't go their way.

Klopp blames too many games and injuries.

Jose blames anything that springs to his mind.

Pep subtly blames refs by not blaming refs

Just seen a bizarre goal in the Man Utd v Arsenal game.

De Gea lying injured on the goal line (injured by his own player, Fred). Smith Rowe shot the ball into the net just as the referee, Martin Atkinson, went to blow his whistle to stop play. Atkinson sought to disallow the goal, but it looks as if VAR told him that he didn't blow the whistle until after the ball was in the net.  1-0 to Arsenal.

Correct decision IMO.

During a set piece, Fred injures De Gea.

Arsenal score.

Man U greeting. Want the goal ruled out because two of their own players took each other out.

:gok:

Bazzas right boot

"Injured" is a loose term as well.

Imagine being a gk and falling over at that.

Stay up until the danger is cleared.

Joker wanting the game stopped as his  team were defending a corner, found out.

Absolutely the correct decision. We see dedenders falling down with 'head knocks' all the time a set pieces to gain an advantage from the referee

Thisnis a great piece of refereeing. The last thing we need is keepers getting even more eprotection.....it was his own player who fouled him ffs

Malinga the Swinga

Good to see ref denying Arsenal penalty in first half with McGuire pulling down player and incident totally ignored.

Even with VAR, they just ignored it. If they bring VAR to Scotland, the same thing will happen in games with OF.
