Oh yes thanks for picking me up on that . Me of all people making assumptions like that . 😵Ok  I’ll rephrase it “ exploiting any vulnerable gender “

Have I missed something are you assuming all hookers are vulnerable or just the cheap ones? 🤔🤷🏻‍♂️🤣

Looks like the government, as part of stricter measures, are looking to scrap support bubbles. Not a good idea IMO

Hasn't nut nuts just organised one for herself, Boris and her mother so her mother can look after the baby. Though what the stupid wee groupie is doing all day to prevent her being a mother is anyones guess.

There's a bit of talk around 24/7 vaccination. Do we have the resources to do that? If yes, it seems like an absolute no brainer to get cracking with this.

Has to happen taff, as much as I'm not a huge fan of Robbie, it's killing me not being able to go watch Heart of Midlothian.

I'd have thought so too. The Prime Minister's press secretary has just said there's not a clamour for appointments late into the night or early in the morning so I guess they must be being made available, but aren't being taken up. Seems mad to me, maybe they should open those appointments up to those in later phases who would 'clamour' for them 🤷🏻‍♂️

You have to be able to staff that and have transport to get people there and back including the workers.

I'd be all over it tbh.

The amount of travel to absolute shiteholes that I do I'm forever being innoculated against something or other.

Just jab me up and be done with it.

Not really that simple - you have to get LRT etc running 24/7 when their services are severely cut back during lockdown.

You do indeed, do we have the staff to do it? That was my initial question. The transport element of it is relatively easily overcome, I bet there's a load of taxi drivers who, after a year of their earnings being decimated, would love the business.

I think most workers who could drive would do so, but those that can't are screwed during the night.

I was overlooking taxis, but I guess it depends where these overnight centres would be.  Probably out at the arse end of nowhere such as the ERI is to me.

Even better, decent fare and at least one industry given a slight kickstart! If we can sustain the same rate of vaccination for 24 hours a day as we do for 12 hours a day, we'll be out of the woods in that respect twice as quickly. Seems a pretty small price to pay in comparison to an addition 6 months say of restrictions and the economic impact that has on both the country as a collective and a lot of individuals.

True.

The Scottish Government don't want to build a new Eye Hospital here, with ours on its last legs and are talking of sending Edinburgh people to Livi.  Seriously!

Based on the **** ups with the Sick Kids and that Glasgow hospital, perhaps they have given up.

They should ask people to register an interest in getting it done out of hours. It wouldn’t be practical for some but I’m sure a significant number wouldn’t mind.

Plenty of helplines too for those with mental health issues

Actually for me there is no helpline for mental health support . Because it means you can hold a conversation on the phone and understand it FULLY.

Just because you can speak and communicate in writing doesn’t mean you can hold a conversation on a phone.

To rely of phone only mental health support is going to increase the risk of harm to certain groups of society.

The latest per-capita 7-day case rates around the councils.

Note that I haven't included the Scottish 7-day stat as it appears that Travelling Tabby, from where the 7-day data comes, is now basing these figures on the specimen dates rather than the reporting dates, whereas the Scottish figure I normally include is based on the most recent reported figures. I'm not a great fan of the specimen date as it means that the data is three days behind, and I would prefer the latest figures as infections tend to move quickly. So, I'm going to have to have a think about whether or not to revamp my approach to this table, which would involve more work, or just go with the Travelling Tabby figures. Life is never simple. :)

Wait are we having "vaccine centres"?

Not just your local GP practice or high street pharmacy?

Dedicated centres just for that purpose?

Surely not???

I don't think they have the capability to handle the Pfizer vaccine, of the volumes of people.

That said, getting the Oxford vaccine into a more local setting would help too.

That's an idea. Get the 40 to 50 year old to get vaxxed between midnight and 6 in the morning. Keep the oldies to civil hours of the day.

Yep.

Town halls, football stadia and so on.

My dad got his flu jab in local town hall instead of GP this season.

I checked his local health board.  Pfeizer needs to be done at D&G RI but even for over 80s town halls will be considered.

Probably slightly easier for him to do town hall again.

I hadn't realised they were sending a letter, then getting people to book an appointment either. I thought it would be an appointment would be sent and you'd just accept it or decline it. People choosing times and dates doesn't seem that efficient or the quickest way to do it, if nobody chooses say 8am on Wednesday then that slot just gets wasted.

Edit: unless it done in waves, say 1000 people get the invite, there is 1000 slots and it's just first come, first serve on which one you book.

More than 25% of covid hospitalisations in England are now under 50 per NHS England CEO.

Didn't state if these were 'true' admitted due to covid, or in for something else and then caught Covid.
