One thing that I hope we've learned from COVID is not to play the wounded soldier and go into work if your loaded with the cold or similar and pass it on to your work colleagues. Drives me bananas when someone comes into the office and is coughing or sniffing and snorting every two minutes. Dicks! It's reasonable to expect people to exercise the personal responsibility they allegedly always possesed to avoid contact with others whilst unwell or while showing clear cold symptoms. Certainly those who can. By no means can everyone. Many people are likely to suffer a financial cost and/or have little choice but to go about their activities. Access to plentiful, free of charge test kits would go a long way to enabling people to make good choices. But the wisdom of the day was to ditch that. A political choice of course.
