I back Stendel but it is a little concerning we appear to have had no bounce from his appointment and we arguably look worse. I’m fully aware he needs time and players but he’s already trotting out the injured players excuses that Levein was rightly slaughtered for. stirlo
Stendel deserves to be given time - we all know he's inherited an absolute shambles. But leaving that to one side, if there were any truth in the suggestion that he's 'lost the dressing room' it would suggest that as well as being pretty hopeless, the players are also incredibly arrogant. Given how badly they're doing their own jobs, they have absolutely no right to be questioning the manager, fans or anyone else.

Coco
I'm backing Stendel over the rubbish brought in by Levein and MacPhee. But given the perilous situation left by Levein the situation could have been tailor made for Paulo Sergio to galvanise the dressing room. The players are both poor and severely lacking in confidence. I would have backed Paulo and Gary Locke to work on that confidence issue. Stendel has asked the players to do a job which looks well beyond them

No more jobs for Ann's favourite son please. Now so someone thinks DS has lost the dressing room well i'm afraid the players have been lost to our support and if they don't like our new manager instead of bleating about it they should roll their sleeves up and do what DS wants or ship out. in fact out of the team that played Hibs i'd only keep 2 players Smith and because of his age and potential Hickey. GinRummy
Stendel never had the dressing room to start with. The resistance was obvious from day one. That is partly his fault for taking the job but also the fault of those that appointed him! He’s out of his depth after a fortnight? Like JJ was out of his depth into October 1995, when we were tumbling down the league after losing at Falkirk? He took over months before, but took a while to clear out the losers. Then got us to the Scottish Cup final, that season, and won it 2 years later. Like the same JJ who was manager when we lost the “millennium derby” 0-3 at Tynecastle and 2-6 at Easter Road? Who then came back and gave us another very good season. Was he “out of his depth” too? Give the man a chance.

It's almost criminal what's gone on since Robbie Neilson left for Milton Keynes. Daniel Stendel has the potential to be a very decent manager but at the moment the jury is very much out. I get the factors going on behind the scenes won't be helpful but I certainly expected a whole lot better in the past 4 games than we've shown so far. I personally believe a more experienced manager would have handled the backroom situation in the meantime and managed to get a few points on the board. I'm praying he gets what he wants assistant wise before the shutdown and he can use January to try and get the players he needs and drill the squad to his way of thinking. We need a miracle between now and May and I hope DS is the man to provide it but I am having serious doubts.
