Well that was a predictable response.

You’ve made a bold claim regarding that we’ve rewarded failure and your response is repeating what you read on another thread.....without actually understanding what you’ve read.

Silly Selkirk.

And Levein was devilishly handsome.

Jardine looked like the after picture, of a drunk driver in a car crash.

Just when I thought I’d heard it all!!

Sandy Jardine was largely responsible not only for making Levein the player he was, but for returning Hearts back into an established top division club.

A bit more respect would be in order.

Barnsley's owner makes Budge look like a street urchin.

All about the Benjamin's. Sure Stendel took one look at Barnsley, found out he could commute from the Lancashire countryside easily enough, and took the obscene money he'd be getting to work there.

People from Barnsley don't think it's an attractive proposition either.

I hadn't realised Chinese money was involved. I wonder what he was earning in Germany prior to coming over?

I was answering a question. They certainly aren’t my favourite people on the planet, but they didn’t treat their own as shabbily as some of our fellow supporters did. Sad but true. I find it part sad and part humorous how some folk are so completely unwilling to recognise arseholery from the fans, yet are comfortable with the way we treat our players, managers and owners.

You have a selective memory.

Yes he was rewarded for failure because he should've been punted 2 years ago infact he shouldn't have got the job after cathro and he certainly shouldn't have been rewarded for failure with a pay rise

Not in my opinion ! Levein was class and had it all , great in the air , brilliant on the ball , could spot a pass , brilliant reader of the game and probably his biggest attribute was he was lightning quick

Jardine was a great player but Levein had potential to go to the top he really was different  class

A popular manager with the fans who was sacked after a successful season followed by a run of ten games without a win would be put off a job because he felt a prospective club gives their managers too long

Its an interesting take Jodami, but I don’t find it as plausible as ToqueJambo’s suggestion. 😄

I was clearly being trite. The idea that a new manager would be influenced by a fans' message board is nonsense. What we are seeing here is people who can't let go about Levein and using people's criticism of him as a stick to beat them with. Yes, some people did go over the top but that tends to happen when situations fester and in many cases it was just used as a tool to wind defenders of Levein up.

In reality, at games our fan base was very supportive and it took a long time for people to turn even though the team had been abject for the whole of this year.

Most people unsurprisingly have moved on and are focussed on the new appointment.

Completely agree, someone like Alan feckin Irvine isn't going to put bums on seats again and get the direct debits reinstated, especially when we've been talking about managers like Stendel, Magath, Warnock, Cotteril, and even McCall ffs!

If true what a shameful indictment on the state of Scottish football that a league one side can pay more than the 3rd biggest team in Scotland can.

Salford City, pinched Adam Rooney from Aberdeen, before they even played a game in League Two!

Not being fired for lack of success isn’t a reward, it’s a reprieve.

Stendel: I really want £300,000 a year but Hearts are only offering £250,000

Stendel's Agent: Hold my beer .... Hello, yes, is that the Sun ? Daniel's keen on Hearts but he's got an offer to stay in England and he's quite keen on that ....

Just typical stories to fill space in paper.

It is possible Stendel wants another job in England. He might also want the Real Madrid and PSG jobs.

Nothing that would prevent him agreeing to join Hearts.

Of course it could also be The Sun gradually pulling away from their original story.

Latest set of accounts filed at companies house for Barnsley for the tear ending 5/2018 shows turnover just under the £14mm mark and a small loss. Just to put some of the relative size comments in perspective...

Fact of the matter is Craig levein has won nothing in his career absolutely nothing ! He talks a good game but his results don't back up his talk , Mrs Budge said 2 seasons in a row the target was minimum top 4 and European football yet both seasons finished 6th playing dreadful football and the reward for that was more funds for transfers and a wage rise while Mrs Budge tells us her blue eyed boy levein doing a good job

For the love of god will you please stop going on about Craig Levein.

That’s a fact.
I’m going to stick my neck out and say he’ll be in the dug out at Ibrox and Fir Park.

That’s not a fact but an opinion based on how we do business.

Raymond Reddington

If he wants another crack at england, then insert a clause in his contract that states if a championship club or above come in for him he can leave for x amount. Managers who do well up here will get chances down south. Per Ross and Neilson. We have already said previously we would not stand in any employees way if a bigger club came calling (at right price of course).
