I like it.

Best player since Rudi.

This btw, haven't had a player that influences us like Naismith since Rudi and Hartley I'd say

Meh.

Heres to another season of being entirely reliant on one player to stop us from getting relegated.

Haha

and if he hadn’t signed you’d be seething and wiping the snotters.

Club can’t win.

Great that it's finally confirmed!

I think anyone expecting anymore signings today is going to be disappointed...from the last post on Hearts Twitter.

Well thankfully they didn't keep us hanging on all morning, now we just have to hope there's more good news to come later today. Still, if this is the best 'news' we get today, there'll be no complaints from me...today.

The Treasurer

I doubt a player of his stature would commit the rest of his playing career to us if he didn't think things were going in the right direction

Nope they can’t.

While Naismith is a great signing and will be a massive influence for us in a positive way, does it not worry you how much our form fell off a cliff when he limped off at Murrayfield?

Need somebody like to kick arses on and off the pitch.

He is a winner and hopefully this will run right  through the team.

I take your point but if we need someone to save us from relegation he's the one, I'd rather have him than not have him by a mile.

He’ll still be younger in 4 years than McLean is now going into this season.

Massive statement of intent from the club and no doubt a huge financial commitment from all involved.  Hopefully this will attract similar quality players to the club.

👏👏👏

Obviously I’ll take any player who has the kind of influence he has.

But he is essentially the lynchpin. Without him, we’re an absolute mess. And it worries me that we’re so reliant on one player all the time.

Clever guy respected on and off the park. Leader talks others through the game. Has alot in common with the lampard and Gerrard generation. Manager in waiting

He'll be player/coach by the time he hits 35. You watch.

He's that now to be fair. Hope he can avoid injuries.....!

4 year deal is excellent news! Big statement of intent from the club especially financially. Big commitment also from Naismith himself, obviously sees the club going in the right direction!

Although it was always inevitable, hopefully this news gives the fans a lift and we get right behind the team for the start of season

Despite his age, Naismith is THE most important player at the club in terms of ability and influence. Delighted that he’s with us for the long term. Despite some dismissing it, he could easily have gone elsewhere!

Welcome Naisy! Cracking player to have!!!

4 years is great news too as I would think that'll involve him being integrated into the coaching/management team and that is worth so much. Our youth side will benefit hugely I reckon.

Absolutely delighted with this, unless of course his legs go or he gets injured in which case I am most annoyed and will blame, Budge, Levein, the board, anyone.

Best permanent signing in years, will be a massive boost for the younger players too.

Lets hope he can stay fit for the next four years! 🤞🏻
