The Future's Maroon
Someon just told me they seen on the news the National Grid have said they might run out of gas before the end of the day, mainly cos so many folk are off work and the network is using much more than normal?! Edit....I thought this must be bollocks, quick google and.... https://www.theguardian.com/business/2018/mar/01/uk-is-running-out-of-gas-national-grid-warns-freezing-weather households shouldn't be affected. Correct it must be the boiler outlet - if your CH is working then I assume it cant be the condensate outlet (if there is one) on a combi boiler so all thats left is the hot outlet to the taps. But hopefully a CH poster will be along soon - or they may all be out on calls!

CJGJ
I stopped at a local shop and on my way out a young woman approached me asking if I had jump leads..all this whilst the snow was at it's hight and the wind blowing he snow all over the place. I had to help of course and the fact she was very nice looking had nothing to do with it. Brought out the jump leads and of course she had no idea of what to do so down to me to fit them up whilst she stayed in the car. Got her car started then went to undo the leads only for her to switch her engine off, thank me and then seemed to think that simply starting the engine had fixed it and the car would start as normal in the future !!!!! Had to get her to restart the engine again with the leads and then give her a stern lecture to keep the engine running this time and if possible keep it running for a while Where have all the DIY car skills gone ? luckyBatistuta
Went along to the shops today. Got yo the milk and there was only about 10 bottles left. I got myself a six pint and left watching everyone trying to get what was left. I get to the counter and there is a guy with 14 six pint bottles and the staff served him. I asked the staff member why they were letting him have so much when they knew there was so many wanting it and they just shrugged their shoulders. Think I maybe should have posted this on the seethe thread.
