Even if he leaves hibs with a decision to make and choses us it leaves a bit of a bitter taste. However I believe him even stepping foot in ER confirms he isn't coming to us. Unless the deal is done of course and he is going out of respect or whatever. Yes it would leave a bit of doubt over his commitment if he even speaks to them. If he signs for us having done that he better be good right from the start or he'll get slaughtered. If you substitute Hibs with any other team you would not be taking that view. I would be equally unimpressed if he drove up to Perth today to speak to St Johnstone, or any number of lesser clubs having spoken to us for 3 days. You don't leave a deal unsigned and talk to another club 'out of courtesy' you talk to them because your not 100% convinced with whats on the table and you want to see if there is better on offer. He can feckin walk down to ER any time and do the courtesy thing if he wants. Visiting with them today is far from courteous from where I'm standing. If he is speaking to Hibs then it will be out of respect to tell them that he is playing for us now. I do not belive lafferty would want to create any bad blood or tension between himself and an NI assistant, during a time where he is trying to get in to the squad for the World Cup. If you are told something in confidence, you are entitled to believe you are ITK, but if the information given is untrue or subject to change (as all transfer deals are) then you could look silly. Doesn't mean you are delusional, point scoring or a dick, just that the information was subject to change. ITK could come in many forms, but unless from the horses moosh, in this case big Kylsie, then Chinese whispers could also affect the voracity of said information. And what if Big Kylo had a change of heart, then being ITK is pointless. In summary, the information is great because it creates blockbuster threads, but in these situations, vets like myself enjoy watching on, but don't really get properly moist until the scarf is oer the heed. Possibly the agent is but let's be honest it's not facing Man City off against Man Utd - financially none of the clubs will break the bank and can probably offer the same amount also if it was down to money he wouldn't be here at all.....I guess the media are second guessing everything but IF he meets Lennon this afternoon and Hearts haven't confirmed the deal then I would think from a Hearts perspective it will be dead - which is a shame cause I think he would be a top, top signing - Norwich and Rangers both paid ?3m for him and there is a chance to get him for nothing here - no brainer but looks less likely with each passing hour....
