Good news if true but let's not get over excited about he boys ability yet. People acting like he's going to be our saviour... I hope he is gd but shouldn't build him up too much for the big fall...

At 6ft 5ins, yes.

He will fit in a treat then. McGlynn will have him scoring no goals in next to no time.

A Premier League side and a championship side are also chasing him... who knows how good he is but at least he is attracting a good level of club for a loan move.

HEARTS are trying to thrash out a loan deal for Liverpool striker Michael Ngoo.

Jambos gaffer John McGlynn can bring in one under-21 player under the terms of the club?s transfer embargo.

SunSport understands a move has now been made to land England youth cap Ngoo.

McGlynn and the club?s director of football John Murray spotted the 20-year-old while monitoring Danny Wilson in the Reds reserves.

But the cash-strapped Tynecastle side face competition from two English clubs ? believed to be one in the Premier League and another in the Championship ? to land 6ft 4ins hitman Ngoo.

The Jambos? wage woes mean they are operating under a one-in one-out policy ? and can?t offer a higher salary than was previously being paid.

That means Liverpool would need to agree to make up any shortfall depending on the money freed Hearts keeper Peter Enckelman was on.

McGlynn had revealed he was looking to bring in a frontman after tying up a deal with ex-Rangers starlet Wilson last Friday.

Highly-rated Ngoo would fit the bill after netting 15 goals in 21 games for the Reds under-18s in 2010/2011 and establishing himself in the second string this term.

On-loan Wilson reckons giant hitman Ngoo would be a massive hit at Tynecastle.

He said: ?Michael is strong and quick and has a good touch.

?He can handle himself. You are never going to know until you play first-team football against big centre-backs but he is more than capable.?

Was just watching an interview of him for the columbia world cup 2011. What an absolute simpleton

I don't give a monkeys fart, as long as he puts the ball in the net regularly he can be as thick as he likes.

Maroon tinted glasses 2

Tbf I think he said he might just pop along and ask him seeing as it was becoming a bit Skacel-esque! More to getting to the bottom of things by asking the boy himself.

Didnt get a chance today as i had meetings in the opposite direction to mellwood and realised also that he may not be training at mellwood as LFC also have a specialist built youth academy in an area called Kirkby (on the outskirts of Liverpool). I do drive past the academy on my way to work in the mornings however i doubt he would be there at 0700.

The guys i know down here who pay attention to the youth teams have said we would molt likely improve on our goals for tally should he come on loan and seem to think he has a future at Liverpool but just needs to get used to a few things that come with the experiences of first team pressure.

I could always offer to give him a lift up for Saturday if he isnt already up here.

Why 4-5-1?

Why 4-5-1?

Go ask Joachim L?w and Vicente Del Bosque.

It's a 4-2-3-1 by the way and suits the players we have if Ngoo signs.

Aye, to play against top sides. Whereas we'd have a decent side at our level playing it's most effective system against the utter dross in the SPL.

Now obviously I want the lad to do well, we all do. But, our hysteria for a non John Sutton option has this lad built up to be van Nistlerooy. Lets give the laddie a break, eh?

To be fair BH, if the laddie has a better first touch and a yard more pace then he'll suit our side far better than Sutton.

Could be more to come from Liverpool the NI connection Derry /Carnlach with Liverpool having first refusal on one of our youngsters in particular ,possibly on a transfer /loan back arrangement.

Definitely wise to advise caution but a season of watching Paterson, Stevenson and Sutton isolated and uninvolved each week has taken its toll.

What is telling is the amount of people calling for 4-4-2 who automatically want one of those two to be Sutton... Despite some really promising performances from young Gordon Smith.

For my part I'm fine with a variation of a 4-5-1, I think it suits our current batch of midfielders better and a mobile and strong striker should do well in it. If we do end up needing to play another striker beside a new addition though, I think Smith deserves that chance first now.

I would say transfer/loan back and a good relationship with a club like Liverpool would be amazing given our circumstances.

I'd tell them to bolt. They can have anyone but Jason Holt IMO.

Think Fraser Fyvie, Ryan Fraser, Scott Allan and Danny Wilson. if Jason excels for 6 months he will be gone, we can't compete with English teams. Surely better Liverpool have first option on him and we also get him back to play for us and develop? We also get options on others from the Liverpool Youth Academy which is one of the best in Britain

I'd rather he excelled for 6 months and we got the larger fee thanks.

What's the length of his contract? Unless it was a silly fee then I would rather develop him here and also have options on Liverpool players. it's not as if the fee would get reinvested.
