And remember that discussion Dung had with Tom English on Sportsound not so long ago? He tried to absolve Murray for any blame for the debt. The man is a bonafide slavering shite.

Hopefully with a HUGE pay off :D

They have made it plain he leaves with no bonus or payoff.

I'd say you can guarantee he did and they are saving face with the hordes.

Rangers have parted company with finance director Brian Stockbridge, the Ibrox club have announced.

Stockbridge had come under heavy criticism from shareholders at the club's AGM in December.

"Rangers said "no ex gratia benefit or bonus" had been paid to Stockbridge over his departure.

I would guess that means that he will get whatever he was due for early termination of his contract (6 months wages)

From the RIFC IPO prospectus

2.1.2 Brian Stockbridge

Under a Scottish law agreement signed on 17 September 2012 (but effective from 1 September 2012), RFCL employed Brian Stockbridge as Finance Director of RFCL for a salary of ?200,000 per annum (plus benefits and expenses). Mr Stockbridge is also entitled to a non-contractual bonus of 100 per cent. gross salary if the Club wins promotion from the SFL, share options, in the event that the Group?s shares are listed on any recognised exchange, with a value equivalent to two and a half times Mr Stockbridge?s annual salary. The agreement is terminable by RFCL either for causes or on 6 month?s notice and by Mr Stockbridge on 3 month?s notice. Following termination, Mr Stockbridge is restricted for 9 months from, without consent, directly or indirectly being employed by any football

club in the top division in Scotland as a chief executive or similar role, soliciting any director/senior employee/player/youth player to leave RFCL or employing a director/senior employee/player/youth player who was employed within the 12 months preceding the date of termination.

Is that other than his entitlement or has he waived that part of his contract mentioned in post 54611?

My reading of the statement is that he didn't receive anything that was outside his contract. That leaves us with the possibility that the big share deals we saw earlier in the day were related to Stockbridge's "contractual" Share Options.

I was going to post that Chick Youngs strory was just him selecting Stockbridge as the next pantomime villain after Green and Whyte.

Seems Stockbridge has jumped before he name was tarnished anymore.

So who is next to take the blame for Rangers mismanagement. Eastdales, Wallace, I'm sure it won't be super Ally as he struggling with his huge pay cut. :jj:

It seems that the contract details I posted earlier were updated in Dec 2012 ...... agian from the prospectus.

2.2.2 Brian Stockbridge

Under an agreement dated 7 December 2012 but effective on Admission, the Company shall employ Brian Stockbridge as a Finance Director of the Company for a salary of ?200,000 per annum and all reasonable expenses properly incurred. Mr Stockbridge is also entitled to a bonus of 100 per cent. of his gross salary in the event that the Club wins promotion from the SFL or otherwise transfers to another football league or to another division within a league and to participate in any share option or other incentive scheme adopted by the Company. The agreement is terminable by the Company either for cause or on 12 month?s notice and by Mr Stockbridge on 3 months? notice.

So that is where the ?200K payoff comes from. His notice period was extended from 6 months to 12 months between Sep 12 to Dec 12.

Re the Neil Lennon story on the BBC ... His reply made me laugh!

Asked if he would like to put McCulloch's theory to the test with a Scottish Cup meeting with Rangers this season, the former Celtic captain said:

"I am not interested at all. If we get a First Division club then so be it.

Pretty sure he said the same thing last year that League Two and Premiership are of similar standard.

And they were horsed 3-0 by Dundee Utd in the cup.

Lee Wallace played like he was used to playing against joiners and plumbers so decided to stick to that level but was deemed good enough for Scotland.

Any bids yet?

This convicted tax fraudster seems to be getting very bitter & will tell anyone from his estate in S. Africa what Newco rangers need to do. Point is the easdales want him no where near ibroke & he seems a bit miffed at this..

King is the fans only genuine hope in the fact that he is probably the only person who has dumped serious hard cash into the club.

I have never grasped why they dont want him on board, is he demanding too much personal control?

Obviously is past is haunting him, but he believed he could get round it.

How very convenient and purely by chance absolutely impeccable timing.

Ah Chico jumping on the bandwagon again.

I can't recall the full page articles when der hun were spending their new found (and subsequently very quickly spent) wealth.

Stockbridge gets both barrels, again an easy target, What about Fat Salary? What about going after the real targets Charles?

He's still hurting, the poor wee (succulent) lamb.

So Chico the r-sole writes a rather large piece in the DR with scathing comments on Stockridge (who for some reason looks like the smaller brother of Donkey spikey hair glasses and all) and miraculousy later that day he is punted

Coincidence? That will be shining bright.

No more of the Succulent Lamb and vintage Wine its spam and water over at Sevco headquarters these days.

Not as yet I think but may come to pass in the near future.

Te Daily fool's view on Stockbridge's departure. A couple of interesting points

"BRIAN STOCKBRIDGE walked away from Rangers last night after both parties finally acknowledged he was just too toxic for Ibrox fans.

The controversial financial director resigned his ?200,000-a-year post and could now be replaced by consultant Philip Nash.

Rangers announced the Stockbridge departure was ?by mutual consent? as the parties realised his continuing involvement at the club was ruinous to the relationship with fans.

The Ibrox board are terrified supporters will turn their back on the purchase of season tickets in the summer and it is estimated at least 25,000 must be sold by the end of June to keep the club buoyant.

To add to the intrigue a plan, still in its early stages, is being discussed by influential fans to wield greater influence by ring-fencing season ticket money away from the club and into a separate and secure account.

Stockbridge had resigned himself recently to the fact opinion of fans had not settled after December?s stormy agm and was unlikely to improve.

The club are losing up to ?1million a month, the share price has dived from 70 pence to 27 pence in 13 months and chief executive Graham Wallace has admitted cuts must be made across the club, including Ally McCoist?s playing squad.

Rangers claim no bonuses have been paid to Stockbridge following his decision to walk away, although a decision to the Stock Exchange stopped short of saying his basic salary package would not be paid up.

It said: ?Rangers announces that by mutual consent Brian Stockbridge is leaving the company and has resigned as a director of the company and its subsidiaries with immediate effect.

?Rangers confirm that no ex gratia benefit or bonus has been offered or paid to Brian Stockbridge in connection with the termination of his employment.

?The directors would like to thank Brian for his contribution to the club during a difficult period. The board has commenced the search for a new finance director. A further announcement will be made in due course.?

Rangers fans react with delight at Brian Stockbridge's resignation

Stockbridge arrived at Rangers in May 2012 as an associate of Imran Ahmad, who put together the ?5.5m purchase of the club?s assets with Charles Green in June of that year.

Losses at the club for the last financial year were an eye-popping ?14.4m and Stockbridge was widely criticised for accepting a bonus of ?200,000 when Rangers won the Third Division.

Chief executive Graham Wallace confirmed this week it had been paid back, although it?s understood it was only returned under pressure from investors Laxey Partners.

Stockbridge was especially criticised for the high cost of the Rangers IPO, ?6.5m of the ?22m raised, and was jeered and heckled by disgruntled shareholders at the club?s agm.

He said: ?I wasn?t brought here to win a popularity contest.?

Former Liverpool and Arsenal financial chief Nash is favourite to be named new finance director."
