West Granton Road. Anchor Inn is just to the right. Both these pics hang up in the Jubilee now. Picture taking from the Junction with Pilton Drive North.

Agreed. I come out my stair door. Turn right walk past Javits. Cross the road at the crossing turn right walk 20 yds and into the Jubilee. Takes 90 seconds at the most. Shish Kebab with tomatoes and onions only. No sauces. Luvvly  Jubbly. If I'm really hungry I'll get chips too.

No idea when it changed bit it looks better in that phot than what it does now.

In fact everything about that phot looks better than what it is now !

That could be applied to the vast majority of pictures on this thread although there are one or two that have improved

Brilliant thread this

I'm surprised Dave haven't thought of a programme of this nature. Definite ratings winner.

Looks to me like the dentist on the corner as you hit Queensferry Road and Quality street.  I have not had one right so far so we will go with you.

It's beside the Royal Blind school at Newington station, I worked the Bank of Scotland branch there in the mid-late 1970's. Was so quiet in there, we used to have a race with staff in RBS across the road to see who could complete the Scotsman crossword first.

Served Sean Connery's mother in there, Mick McGahey too.

I think you are right the building with all the greek type urns looks like the old Salisbury Cinema, which later became C and J Browns warehouse. It is an oldie trhough I can't see any power lines for the trams.
