The Lost Daughter

A pleasant film

7/10

Actually it gets a 5. It is a slow film carried by Olivia Coleman it's not as good as it think it is. A disappointment

Blood and Gold

German film. Again it will never win awards but it's an easy to follow film

It reminds me of Beast in its violence. Each character gets more and more cropped as the film goes on.

Oppenheimer.

A stellar cast, a tight script, excellent performances throughout, incredible sound design, this film fully deserves to win every award going.

Proper cinema.

Easy 10/10.

Appreciate all the reviews @rudi must stay but that's five films you've reviewed in eight hours? Any chance you could batch your reviews and do one review every few days or on a weekly basis?

I really like this thread but it feels harder to find the genuine reviews now.

Beau Is Afraid on Now TV.

This is described as a horror/comedy. I would describe it as sh"t

0/10. Seriously the worst film I have watched EVER.

Watched Violent Night with my son at the weekend.

Think Santa being John McLean.

I reviewed this last year, cant remember what I gave it then but will give it a 9/10.

Renfield

Nicolas Cage is Dracula and Nicholas Hoult as his lacky. My son loved it for the violence and humour. I didnt think it was great. 5/10

Currently half way through Once Upon A Time In America as it’s free on Amazon Prime.

Haven't watched it in a while. Epic!!

Some difficult scenes pushing the limits of watchability but what a film!!!

“ Oppenheimer “

it was very good . It didn’t even feel it was on for 3 hours as the time flew by . Outstanding performances from all the cast but Cillian Murphy was just brilliant . So was Robert Downey . Emily Blunt was fantastic in the scene where she was interrogated and stuck by her man . If it’s a race for that Oscars between this and “ flowers of the killer moon “. I’ll go for this . However both brilliant

I found Becky to be entertaining nonsense. Had a bit of a Home Alone vibe but with a streak of violence through it.

Interesting to see Kevin James play a different role too.

Seen this get a bit of stick on here, but enjoyed it. Visually stunning and entertaining with a few holes in the story but very watchable.
