Fenerbahce yes (and Kiev to be honest), if Malmo just got tanned by Zalgiris Vilnius then they are nothing to be afraid of.

Malmo definitely don't look that strong this season, just that it's a big name.

They'll be playing Zurich or Qarabag so will likely be put out before reaching our stage.

Ahhh ffs, had thought they were right through- my bad!

Fernecvaros take the lead in their tie 3-2

I reckon that last game will end up as Slovan Bratislava v Maccabi Haifa

Saying that Haifa have just gone 1 up in Greece 🤦🏻‍♂️ these games have been awful  to call

I note that German, French and English clubs will be allowed to use safe standing in this seasons UEFA competitions, and hopefully will be rolled out further next season.

Man City had safe standing behind one of the goals in last seasons Champions League, was at one of the games last season.

VAR rules out Olympiacos goal.

Was watching Bodo game earlier and they didn't have VAR. Strange to have it in one game and not the other at this stage

Malmo are looking like one of the better potential ties now. We'd be second favourites, but they've struggled in Europe so far and haven't set the heather alight domestically (currently 5th, albeit not far off the top).

Their decline was clearly already underway when they failed to reach double figures against Hibs a few years back.

Right now this is where we're at, We'll play the winner of one of these pairings.

Shkupi/Shamrock Rovers

Zurich/Linfield

Maribor/HJK Helsinki

Malmo/Dudelange

Slovacko/Fenerbahce

AEK Larnaca/Partizan

Still waiting for one game to be confirmed but looking like its going to be Slovan Bratislava/Olympiacos as it stands

Neither Fenerbahce or Kyiv was going to be an easy tie. Fenerbahce does seem worse though. Ah well.

Aye, both a nightmare draw really.  If we end up in Istanbul it will be some atmosphere though, have been to the stadium for a tour but no game.

How close is Fenerbahce to the main airports in Turkey? Easy to get to?

Well you'll fly into Istanbul, they are an Istanbul club.  You'll likely stay one side of the Bosphorus, and get a ferry across it to the other side (technically in Asia), and then a 15-20 minute walk up from where you dock to the stadium.

And direct flights available from Edinburgh with Turkish Airlines, 4 hr 25 min flight time, for just over £200, depending...

If we were to end up with an away leg in Turkey I'd much rather it was in Constantinople.

Every club in Constantinople

Plays in Istanbul, not Constantinople

So if you've a match in Constantinople

They'll be holding it in Istanbul.

Always fancied a trip to Istanbul but not sure how safe it would be for the football

Well it will be radio rental around the ground before kick-off, it always is. I saw some footage of before todays game, flares, singing etc but no sign of violence.

I don't think there would be any issues, but maybe best to leave the UJ at home if you're that way inclined and emphasis we're a Scottish club (not English).

Nah not that way inclined don't worry.

I'm well travelled so think I should be fine. The only people that wouldn't be would be folk drawing bad attention to themselves like you mentioned.
