Apparently, Scotland has an enormous deficit but at the same time our O&G resources are going to contribute £80bn to the UK exchequer - how confusing.

Fxxx the SPFL

A study published this week stated that males in the Glasgow area die on average 10 years earlier than males in Chelsea. Surely given that the majority of the Scottish population live in the West would be a sound economic argument for independence we would pay far less in the State pension and other benefits. Just throwing that out there

That's always been the case. It's what props up the pound! I've said for years that if we get independence the pound would be in trouble. Not only does it help prop it up but Scotland being independent from rUK without our economy would destabilise it anyway.

It's all smoke and mirrors with the Brit Establishment. Say one thing mean another, state a fact that they're "clear" on when it's a lie. Westminster, a parliament for the dumb!

He was looking somewhat 'inflated' at the Remembrance parade last week.

Surely they can put up a much more effective spokesman than him from their 45 odd MPs? Whatever your politics are, he comes across as an annoying yap. I suspect there are much better candidates but they don't get the gig because the power couple don't approve.

I can’t stand the guy honestly.
When I hear that voice it’s nails down a fecking blackboard.
The SNP is full of these seriously unlikeable people these days. All devolutionists and career politicians who have no idea what they’re getting voted into power for. Or maybe they do and they’re mugging us off.
Matbe it’s a sort of fatigue with them I don’t know but the whole party needs a clearout.
Right from the top.

Look at the state of this ****ing paper?!🤣

Honestly Britain is falling apart because of this media. It’s never checked or challenged it’s incredible.
We should be burning these papers and their offices to the ground.

That paper has encouraged and enabled every single act of self harm for years on us all.

Reading bits tonight about that massive cockbag Farage speaking at Eton.
The eton folks jeered state school girls who appeared and cheered Farage.
These are the people who run this place.
And you reckon Scottish independence is mental???
Grow a set of ****ing bolloks.

Nothing has really changed in the 40 years since Weller wrote The Eton Rifles.

Imagine the country that has the majority of the UKs energy reserves, that we've been told are valueless and running out, looking to secure future energy for its people?

Actually a huge amount has changed in that 40 years.

We've been taken back politically and economically beyond that 40 years by the Junta.

Moreover in the 'information age' people, particularly those living South of Berwick-upon-Tweed, are still conned by the elite and continue to bend the knee to them.

Progress eh?

I get this rag for my neighbour on a Saturday.

I’m embarrassed buying it for her.

I was talking about the Eton pupils jeering those girls from the state school. Weller was famously inspired to write The Eton Rifiles after seeing Etonians jeering a passing Workers march on the news.

Conned by the political elite? No, that would never happen here 😀

Nucky Thompson

The only Scottish newspaper you could ever get in my park shop over the border on a Saturday was the Record

About a month ago they started selling the Scottish Daily Mail as well as the English version

Swiftly swapped over, better paper for less coin :biggrin2:

Scots will demand it does and support parties that pledge its safety. Similar to our water being publicly owned. Wouldn't trust any Westminster party with the SNHS or Scottish Water. Part of the reason I support the SNP.

How is it paid for?

How will Scotland afford a NHS?

My best guess would be taxation and income from things like corporation tax, oil, whisky, electricity, food production, banking, insurance, forrestry, fishing, gaming, tourism, manufacturing, house building, pharmaceuticals, universities and lots of other things that normal countries have. I could be wrong though.
