Managed to watch the highlights, seemed like a fun race - plenty crashes, action, overtakes, controversial steward decisions -

3 Red Flags as well - nice -

I see people moaning that Max was over the line on the restart and should be docked time! lol -

Didn't someone else get penalised for that already this season...?

Alonso in the last race. I have a feeling due to the increased size of the cars there has been some clarification about it

He was on the line, not over it. If any of the tyre touches the tarmac ahead of the line, it's a penalty.

Max tyres where fine. Most satisfying part of the day was all the wee Hamilton lovers sharing the pic of max on starting grid and all of them tagging sky sports f1 so they would investigate it. Quickly shut down and back into their holes the Muppets.

Overall good race plenty of drama and another max win so we all good

Well when it's Lewis directly behind max they will try anything to get him bumped up to 1st over max 😂😂😂

Very simple explanation here.

A drive of a champion from max yesterday after a disaster quali with the red flag. 45 laps or so on hard tyres and continued to gain time on Perez.  Perez was like a sitting duck when max put on fresh mediums.

Funniest part of the day was Russell asking his radio is he that close to the ref bull who's Infront of Alonso. Turns out was Sargent in the Williams 😂😂

No safety cars no red flags. Straight forward race

Or Alonso finding time, whilst hurtling along at 200kph, to have a look at one of the big screens to see how his teammate was getting on.

He's got a number 2 driver. Alonso is the main driver at Aston that's why.  Would love him to finish second behind max some races. Think Monaco is anyones best at beating a red bull before the summer break in July anyways

what a finish to monaco qualifying, alonso nearly took pole

That was magnificent. Ocon's lap looked a real flyer then Alonso smashed it. How Verstappen found all that time in the last sector was insane.

What a session!

Watching the Indianapolis 500 and the last few laps are a complete mess. They’re now in the 3rd red flag of the last 15 laps or so as every time they restart someone else crashes. Now the next restart is for only 3 laps racing.

Lovely lovely day in Monaco baby. Max verstappen the champ champ

Oh David!

You should have said that you were attending the race

We could have met up, had a few beers, y’know, just chin-wagged for a while.

There was so much Krug left on the table we all ended up washing our hair with it!

Smashing!

Maybe next year, baby?  🤞

Sadly didn't see the race yesterday, sounded like chaos. For all it's failings it would be sad not to have it on the calendar. The issue is too many new circuits with poor overtaking opportunity, imo. Monaco will always have its place in my eyes, it one race of 20+ and it's synonymous with F1. Iconic event.

Another stroll for the world champ. A GrandSlam of firsts too. Merc upgrades have worked for them over taking Aston and Ferrari. Still a bit of catching up to do to get close to max. Checo starting to feel the pressure which is understandable when your team mate is the best driver on the grid

Another wonder drive from max. Even had the gap to lash of new softs to get that extra point for fastest lap. Good drive from checo from 15th to 3rd (as it stands ) Aston Martin putting a load of complaints against drivers so end result might not be conclusive just yet. Lewis tears down the radio where tasty. Even toto was fed up with him 😎

Super max hopefully have a bit of luck in Silverstone finally. A track red bull haven't won since 2012 apparently

Great seeing Hamilton doing well and getting 7th.

Well done Lewis.

8th it turns out as Aston Martin’s protest was successful and load of drivers got 10 second penalties after the race.

Well done Norris and Piastri.  Great job.

Also great to see Hamilton showing it's not just all about the cars and securing 7th.   😁

Great drive from the McLaren drivers on Sunday. It's a real shame the Redbull car is just so far ahead of everyone else, a bit like Celtic in our league. Any decent driver in that car would be streaks ahead. Other than that it was a smashing race at Silverstone.

Red bull held talks with leclerc and Lando about being in the second redbull. Very risky move if you ask me could well end up being a rosberg Hamilton situation. Real question is if they are winning both drivers and constructors championship why change

Hmmm I'm no MV fan but that's doing him a disservice. If what you were saying were true then him and Perez would be having shootouts each race.

They need a reliable number 2 who just hoovers up podiums - I don't think they upset Verstappen by going for someone who's going to rival him for #1.

That being said, Verstappen has made plenty noises about not hanging around in F1 for too much longer so they may be looking to secure their future.

I've always suspected Lando would be Hamilton's successor.

Yes apparently Lando was a pre agreed contract at Ferrari. But I always assumed he would be Hamilton's replacement too. Max has a contract until 2028 but he has a release cause if the cars not good enough he can be released without a huge payment. This is why redbull are worried about 2026 because it looks like it will end up with whoever has the strongest engine will be the best car etc
