Then there's an email from the ticket office and various people saying they were told the same thing face to face at the ticket office. I'm not one for putting the boot in to Hearts but they've ****ed this royally and anyone saying otherwise is at it. The matches will be at Tynecastle Park though. I agree its a poor show and somebody needs to show a bit leadership and sort it. Has our new Chief Executive started work yet. I do hope this mess is not down to him or we are in trouble. gnasher75
I don't want a refund nor do I want to be forced to pay over the odds to watch a stream of home games, which is effectively what is happening. I want what I paid for! I renewed our season tickets on the basis that we will get to attend the first 18 league games at Tynecastle after fans are allowed back. That was what the club guaranteed, regardless of any spin anyone wants to put on it. We all support Hearts as best we can. But due to covid I don't have a lot of spare cash for anything so deciding to renew was in the balance until deadline day. If I'd known the guarantee of 18 games at Tynecastle would become 18 games some on TV and possibly some at Tynecastle, I wouldn't have. I would still consider subscribing to Hearts TV if it was a reasonable price or watching games on a pay per view basis. But equating the streaming of games to season tickets is just wrong. Do folk actually feel the club have broken their trust? Are folk upset, did they not consider fans may not be allowed back in? Are folk that angry about whatever it is? Does anyone on here want a refund and been told by the club no, or are they just greetin' because it's somthing to moan about? I really don't know what some people's expectations were . Back in early Summer there was obviously some hope that fans could be back in Stadiums by mid October hence the plan to honour any home games that couldn't be played in lieu for next season . Things haven't improved putting the club firmly on the back foot . The only realistic option was to facilitate a streaming service for season ticket holders to the best quality possible. It's not ideal but honouring the original idea of refunding every game not played at Tynecastle would have crippled the clubs revenue stream for season tickets next year . While not ideal most Hearts fans with a modicum of intellect will see the bigger picture that we are all a victim of circumstances and haven't been hoodwinked by the club . This is the moment to introduce a new price next season, to vindicate this seasons missing games. We may win trophies during the time it takes for us to be able to go watch the side again. Or it may be before then. Everything before us will not go by us. A title promotion and Two Scottish Cup trophies , will be worth it. No competitive game has taken place yet. Wait and see, things may change. Edited September 19, 2020 by Gorgie Boot boy

luckydug
Regarding your last sentence is that not what all the top clubs are doing ? If I was running things I would offer refunds to anyone who wants one. I would then make it public just how much it has cost the club to remedy the situation. The moral of the story is don't make promises that you can't keep. Oh and can we stop the chestbeating about what wonderful fans we are. This has been embarrassing from the club and has been a feeding frenzy for the sleeper hibees on here and people who just like a moan. Jason Leitch warned the "worrying" surge in the number of people testing positive for COVID-19 meant a repeat of test events which saw a limited number of supporters take in games at Dingwall and Pittodrie was likely to be shelved until the current spike eases off. Speaking on BBC Scotland's Off the Ball, Professor Leitch said it was unlikely that the game itself would be forced into another shutdown by the virus - provided sporting bubble protocols are followed.
