If celtic had been 4 points ahead like we were adrift not a chance they would have been award the title.

Nope. Not a chance. Especially when they had to play each other twice. Like we had to play Ross County twice with, I think, 6 points separating us. The same Ross County who are making such a noise about our "self interest".

“One source” “club insider”. Amazes me people still read, even worse, believe what these clowns write.

Saturday's DR was all about Roy McGregor, but quotes were to "a source"

So why, did McGregeor say to the twat journalist "dont quote me"

when he then openly aired his views on BBC Sportsound.

The thing is there is no detail on the SPFL's proposal, that's  to be ironed out.  The clubs only have to vote on whether the 14-10-10-10 format is acceptable.

Why would there potentially be 3 teams promoted from a 10 Team division?

The strength of 14 is that it gives greater stability with 14th going down and 13th involved in the play-off.

I get the feeling Ron the Con thinks if we go down and he keeps the green franchise of Edinburgh everyone in Edinburgh including Hearts fans will flock to see Hibs?

Same mistake that Mr Mercer made all those years ago.

Like Mr Mercer he will learn from experience.

Football is tribal its what makes it so special.

What if Rangers held the same margin as Celtic did? Same outcome? Not sure is the point. The whole thing stinks to high heaven.

Certainly if either were 2 behind with a game in hand, the decision would have been different. But it was only Partick and only relegation, right?

Imagine the papers, the outcry, the celebrity and political support had the league been called in those circumstances!!!

Wonder if Celtic would take their medicine. Wonder if anyone would tell them to?

I ask myself these same questions all the time and it just makes my blood boil.

Also this chat if it were hamilton or st mirren they wouldnt make all this fuss...Aye because they wouldnt have to,they wouldnt be kicked up and down the place by every *****.The sympathy would be huge and im certain recon would have passed to keep them up

I'd prefer a higher turnover in our leagues.

Saw something say we have the lowest top flight dropout percentage in Europe. Its no good for our stale game. Hamilton, again. St Mirren, again...

For me either a straight two up, 2 down, or even that plus a playoff.

I understand that'll be harder to pass in a vote.

No detriment mothballing would be a far better option for clubs than a Close Brothers loan, surely?

I would be amazed if the Close Brothers loans weren't at extortionate rates and secured against the clubs grounds.

In Scottish Football's giant lockdown shitfest of incompetence, the SFA has just had its hold my coat moment in response to the SPFL's worst efforts!!

Dundee Utd have voted against reconstruction.

Reason - They are reluctant to lose old firm matches.

Chasing the money.

The Championship could potentially have a 50% turnover rate if 3 went up and 2 went down.

They've just spent four years in the Championship.  You'd think they'd be trying to reduce their chances of going back down by having a bigger Premier.  Are the people running these clubs crazy?  How can any club at risk of relegation think increasing from 12 to 14 is a bad idea?

What?????? In what way do they lose of matches? Get in the top 6 then. Otherwise you will lose ONE home match a season against them. ONE!

ONE!!!!!!! Weighed up against the loss of jobs and injustice at the three expelled clubs. Weighed up against the legal shitstorm coming your way.

One HOMEOF game if you don't make top 6.

I knew Dundee United would be against! An owner that has already managed to fall out with groups, tells you what we are dealing with here.

As, I think, Falkirk said recently, if Celtic had been 1 point ahead of Rangers, they wouldn't have been given the league championship, like Raith Rovers were. There have been so many inconsistent decisions tied into the shambles of Good Friday.

Calling the decision making of the SPFL board, and clubs, in this affair, inconsistent, is being kind. Corrupt is probably a better description.

But Celtic got their cheap title so all is fair.

I don't think they all reckoned on Hearts fighting as hard to overcome this. Maybe assured by all those phone calls that all would be fine.

...you’re spot on there!

Going forward, the way Hearts have fought their own corner will be a wake up call to the SFA/SPFL and the uglies. We’re definitely NOT to be f*cked with... and this can only be a good thing for Scottish football.
I do feel that there is a major change coming to how Scottish Football is run. This whole sorry saga has opened the eyes of many on so many different levels.

Dundee United will lose more money  by us winning in court, poor choice by them.

Exactly, thats madness, and so penny pinching. They are staring too short term that they are ruining the long term.

They shouldn't even have a ****ing vote.

They are only a top flight team due to a rigged vote.

Indeed. As much as I can’t stand them after recent events, a small top division with hardly any relegation has seen a few of our traditionally larger clubs decline at an alarming rate. Dunfermline are the one that springs to mind first.

They won't if we are granted an interdict, nullifying the first vote.

If we do have as strong a legal case as is being suggested, start the proceedings now.

This won't go through. Fairness and doesn't matter as long as clubs get an extra few quid. **** hearts.

Well if it doesn't we better take this as far a legally possible. If we lose then at least we can say the club did everything it could. We should always remember what these ***** did to us. Karma is a real and wonderful thing.

Can't see how that would work, they are capped at £50k each.

I’m sure I read somewhere that if the Premiership clubs did not apply then the amount of grant could be increased accordingly.

I see the latest SPFL leak (as usual via Keith Jackson) a bit differently from posters who've commented on it so far.

Looks to me like it's putting the ball firmly in the court of the Premiership teams. Stating that the board will not save the day by using the powers takes away the comfort blanket from the likes of Ross County. The responsibility is with the clubs.

The message being that if this ends up in court it is the no voters that have put everyone there.

That’s how I see it.
