Drumelzier
I'd be shocked if this weekend fixtures go ahead as planned. There is flexibility to catch up, even if it takes a couple of years. To be honest I think voiding their season is the solution that will cause the fewest issues. Clubs usually participate in sports competitions in the knowledge that the governing body makes the rules and can amend those rules at any time it sees fit. When the SFA or SPFL makes a decision it would be very unusual for a member club to challenge that decision in court.
David McCaig
June 1 is generally the defacto end of the season, its the date when player contracts come to an end and a side could effectively lose its entire side overnight. Realistically if we are suspending games now, we are not even looking at a resumption until mid-summer at the earliest, even starting on time for next season may be a challenge. For example Hamilton player on £750 per week told that he must continue working for that wage, despite his contract having expired and having an alternative offer of employment for £7500 per week.
