It really shows how much the population have been manipulated and controlled by our respective govts and assorted "experts" over the last year. With talk of kids being "allowed out to meet friends " allied to all the other restrictions in force, you would be forgiven for thinking we were talking about a "prisoner of war" camp rather than people's daily routines,  rights and freedoms

Thanks for clarifying that I didn't accuse Red of bullying. I hesitated to use any such accusation because I didn't believe it constituted it, but could understand why others saw it that way. It's called understanding other people's points of view.

And not having a pop at WO, merely quoting him/her.

Well I'm sure it can't be hard for you to understand how your own behaviour can be viewed as being bullying either if you stop and think about it for a second.

With the risk of this derailing a good thread and perhaps hitting some sensitive spots from last week with other posters, feel free to elaborate by PM, where we can hopefully thrash this out in a civilised, gentlemanly (assuming you're a man) manner as befitting Hearts fans (assuming you're a Hearts fan).

I should say that most of my comments on the SG's IT/stats department are tongue in cheek in nature. I can imagine that it was tough for them today trying to get the vaccination data published knowing that they had other stuff stacked up waiting. I hope that if they've now finished what needs to be done in the 2pm data tsunami, they're sitting back in their chairs having a relaxing coffee and breathing a sigh of relief that it's all done.

I asked you if you wanted to take all the attention you were giving me to PM.

Your attempts at third rate antagonism were giving the impression that you'd like to get a room.

Don't worry about it, I regularly create feelings in others that they themselves don't understand.

You're probably still at the confused stage. Guilt will come next, then acceptance.

I'll be waiting for that PM when you finally get there. 😘

The highly efficient IT department at the SG have now decided not to update the spreadsheet that I use to get the council case figures daily. Hopefully they'll get round to it later, but today's 7-day stats will be delayed. I'm just hoping that they produce that spreadsheet at some point today. If they don't, my stats are a bit fecked going forward.

Its ok Piers and Suzanna are busy shouting over each other to demand answers from the vaccines minister

Piers the man  who took his family to the carribean at Christmas apparently worried about letting variants in before hotel quarantining came in.

Morgan had started by asking him what his views over Harry and Megans privacy were and where the line should be drawn over privacy - there arent enough face palms that the man who should have been jailed for phone hacking asked the question .

I watched him today, and he is inciting hate towards Harry and his Mrs. Last week he was out of order with a Young Head teacher who had tattoos on his arms. That lad had to come off social media and it could also have led to losing his job, if his bosses were shite bags.

He can be good at questioning Ministers and that is all well and good, because they are elected. He needs to calm his jets.

Any attention you get from me is usually in reply to some daft wee pop you've had at me.

That's a fact.

I'm not really all that interested in you. We can either pretend each other doesn't exist or you can continue making snide wee comments that'll prompt me to remind you that you once square goed me on a football forum and then called me a third rate antagonist a fortnight later.

It's entirely up to you.

Perhaps when the pandemic is in hand and we can mix and mingle again, Hearts should open up the area behind the Wheatfield early on and rent it out to all those folk who've promised paggers, square goes and "take it to PMs" during the pandemic, streaming the action live. They could raise a shed load of money for the first team. I'd even offer to have a friendly arm wrestle with @JamesM48 to start it off before the real action starts.

Nah I think it's always better to go the extra mile especially with a new virus that they really didn't know much about. Better to be extra safe I guess. One of these ones where they're damned if they do, damned if they don't!

Surface transmission of a virus is always going to be difficult but proper hand washing is king!

Yeah I can see your point

Not directly but you said you 'hesitated to use the B-word' when supporting another poster who made the claim, implying you had been thinking the same thing and were basically agreeing with him.

Nice of you to take yet another pop at WO who hasn't even been involved in this discussion.

I’m trying my best not to respond to you and another poster but  when you make false allegations you will be pulled up . I assume you mean I made in initial point about “ bullying “ I didn’t . I really think you need to drop it . It’s old news . You seem like to want to keep it going when most of us have just moved on . It’s called being mature

Yes this sounds like a great idea 😂 I’m afraid my upper arm strength isn’t that great but I’ll give it a go ! Best of 5 or just a one off ? 😂

Yeah, mine is too, but I thought like the "pro-wrestlers" we could give them a good show anyway. Definitely best of 5. :)

Yeah father in law got on Sat at RHS, the missus took him in and they did her at the same time as had cancellations or something. I think they viewed my wife as his carer, as he does need a lot of assistance for a variety of reasons.

So all good thanks👍

Great news 👍🏻👌🏻

Thanks for asking. Due to the curfew in Holland they're finding it hard to get to appointments without a lot of stress, sadly.

She's having moments of lucidity but cannot be left alone. Tough one to take. She is/was a strong woman - both physically and mentally - and seeing her turn into this is very difficult.

Sad to hear 😞 Hopefully there is improvement ❤️

Is “friendly arm wrestle” a euphemism?

Goodness. Maybe a bit of kumbaya is in order for this thread?

It's been a beautiful day, I've had a good dose of sun and it really feels like we're just mere weeks from being able to get pished in pubs again. Not to mention the Euros are just 3 months away with potential for crowds at the England v Scotland game.

5455 new cases in the UK and 104 deaths. Cases falling rapidly now. This new "Brazilian strain"' which a handful of people had a full month ago, seems to have coincided with a reduction in cases, hospitalisations and deaths. Seems to have been sent back to the favela from which it came. All good news👍

Fxxx the SPFL

My Bristol Rovers supporting mate told me that the three lads from Aberdeen who tested positive for Brazilian variant were part of a BBC wildlife film crew unit working in Amazon filming for a one off documentary that David Attenborough will be narrating about two species of fish that were thought to be extinct discovered in a remote tributary off the Amazon River. Seemingly during the mating ritual the two different species come together and have a massive pagger over the females. The species are called by there Latin names  Nickoglumpus Sturgeonitis and Alecbullyites Salmondis. Only passing on what i was told

Just as an addendum to the 55k deaths forecast we referenced earlier, prior to today's numbers, England had suffered 5,000 Covid deaths over the last two weeks since the paper was written.  The message being that the deaths will be heavily front loaded over the next couple of months, unless there is some hugely unforeseen spike as things are opened up.
