No.

I'm holding an offline copy of the removed Scottish Vaccination plan that breaks down the tiers.

But I don't want MI5 or MI6 or whoever ;) knocking my door down by releasing in full.  I'll try and find updated pack.  I don't find the SG website that user friendly.

Detty unable to finish his last sentence before being dragged kicking and screaming from his house by secret service agents, with only enough time to reach back and desperately hit the Enter key as they drag him out. :)

It's a cock of old bull that the supply data has been removed in national interest.

Let's get all 4 nations high level prioritisation, supplies planning assumptions, demographics up so we can properly compare

I've got little else to do just now.

It means she’s shrewd apparently.

Does she ever tell the truth about anything ?

No, no, not anymore. It has to be a very specific mask now. The flimsy make shift ones don't cut it against the new strain, haven't you seen the news today?!?

Who'd have thought cutting up old socks and tying them to your head with fishing line might not actually be very effective.

Travelling Taby now breaking diwn vaccine data.

Sad to see Edinburgh bottom in terms of %age vaccinated ... hopefully they turn that around quickly.

Also interesting to see the differences between male & female %ages as I would have expected to see a higher %age of males than females vaccinated in the higher age groups: would be interesting to know why - hoping it's not just the old boys taking an anti-vax stance.

Sex is an interesting thing actually. Pretty sure there's a very uneven balance in terms of covid-19. Is this reflected in the vaccine rollout?

Good to see the drop continue all be it slower than we would like: hopefully this will start to translate into fewer hospital admissions in the next few days.

Women live longer so I'd expect numbers to be higher to be done.

But should men be done first as higher risk?

Woman living longer is precisely why I'd have expected the Male %age to be higher in the older age groups: if you vaccinate 50 men & 50 women in the over 80 group then the male %age should be higher than the female %age .... Or I've misunderstood the way it's being reported.

Apparently the U.K. government are paying our old pals Deloitte over £1m a day for the poor system down south.

Was there an option for tinfoil wearers that lets you jump the queue 😤 interesting to me in that is uptake 74% (im assuming thats people taking up their appointments) how much of that is antivax , how much is people unsure about getting it etc as that is 296000 vaccines taken for every 400000 vaccines available

I was thinking about this when Frank was talking about Cramond , obviously there is no excuse there as its Central but do Heath Centres have facilities to store the vaccine at the insanely low temp? If not logistically you will have to source and install these before being able to send the vaccine to them. Once you get further North than say Aberdeen or Perth that could be a nightmare. Anyone know?

I guess it depends if you're rolling out your vaccine based on risk or not. If you are, given that it appears men are more at risk in the UK then they probably should be. If you're doing it arbitrarily, then I guess the order matters less.

1820 deaths today

Around two weeks ago  UK daily case numbers peaked at over 60K a day.  I think that the current death figures are a reflection of that peak.  Daily UK case numbers are now down to the mid to high 30Ks so I'd expect a corresponding fall in the death rate to follow in around two weeks time.

Add in the increasing impact of the vaccination programme, then the numbers should be further suppressed.

That's right, but I never imagined that the deaths would be this high and that's with better techniques and treatments compared to the 1st wave.

It's mental

Shameful.

Johnson should be strung up in public.

Yup and the same with Sturgeon, Drakeford etc.

Actually despite me washing my messages in bleach etc and high anxiety of last year I wasn't too concerned about being in close contact with the person as it would have been extremely unlikely I would have caught it as he was a distance from me in the ward/ bay and I have my mask on all the time. Only thing was the nurses etc were close to him at times. I have had a bit of worry about it , thinking " will i wake up during the night with a fever or in the morning etc) so it does have an effect on you ( at the back of your mind).

A really terrible indictment of the handling of the whole thing.

At the minute, its the equivalent of 10 boeing 737s crashing every single day.

The whole sorry lot of them should be hounded for the rest of their born days.

Just a note of caution on the figures below as they aren't completely comaprable.

The peak number of of UK cases in the first wave was just over 6,000 a day.  Testing has obviously ramped up enormously since then, so that we have seen a 10 fold increase in positive cases reported.

The peak numbers of daily deaths however was 1,150('ish) so a 10 fold increase in cases has resulted in around a 60% increase in the death rate.

The hospitalisation figures would probably be a better comparator, but I don't have them to hand.

My gut feel is that the virus is much more widespread than during the first wave but that better treatments are helping keeping the worst of the outcomes just about under control.

It's carnage isn't it?

I have a friend in Spain who says their news reporting of the situation in the UK is horrific.

Meanwhile people on this thread call it propaganda. Utter *****.

Paddy Harvie and his merry band of fantasists? Agree entirely :Agree:

That will be the same wee f*d that forces one his MSPs out the party for daring to have a different opinion on the transgender debate. An opinion , unlike Harvie's, that is based on biological evidence. He is wrong on nearly every issue of the day though,  so it's hardly surprising.

The thought of this without the better techniques and treatments is not worth thinking about.

Yeah , it does play on your mind and makes you overthink your actions and what you are doing or who you might be around. Just stay strong pal 👍🏻
