2 wingers and a Goalie? Bit random mate.

1 already signed for a team on loan and 1 who I'd assume would need a work permit.

Levein can bang on about the strikers not taking their chances but the figures say they didn't do it regularly at their previous clubs either.

Wighton has 0 goals in his last 26 games.

MacLean has 16 in 66.

Washington has 0 in 18 club games.

Uche has 22 in 68.

A midfielder is a priority but surely we need to try and sell a striker (not Washington obviously) to free up a wage for someone with a better track record.

Clearly we don't have cash to spend but there must be a free agent on reasonable wages whose record betters that of the strikers we have just now.

Lafferty..

Fair enough, hope it happens. We need two good yin’s.

So did I but been told he’ll used more out wide or behind the strikers if we get him which I think we will by the end of the week. Other guy is apparently a great pedigree, international who has played at a top level down south. Not been involved in his national set up for ages so wanting to play week in week out to get back into it. Something that appeals to him playing here rather than another big pay packet from down there 🤞🏻

I remember seeing it last week. My source has pretty close links to Hearts and says it’s pretty much happening

Had a look on Twitter and spotted this from back in January. I wonder if he's been a long term target?

Expect a midfielder from Man city youth side

Officials were up having a look at our facilities before the Stenhousmuir game

After MacPhee saying that we are still awaiting confirmation from Man City about being a part of the Hearts Invitational Tournament next year, it woudn't surprise me if that was the reason they were up looking at the facilities.

I don’t think it’s him. Been given bits and pieces of info but not a specific name. Definitely British but not Scottish I don’t think

They were and for Hearts to sell themselves as a place that their youngsters could come and play and develop in our fantastic facilities. City officials went away impressed

So a N Irish midfielder free agent then.... 🙄

It wouldn’t be an England fringe player

Technically so is Morrison mate.

Born in England and only plays for Scotland.

if we got both Damour and Morrison our midfield is suddenly looking very strong.

Using the ever reliable bible that is transfermarket - free transfer midfielders seeming to fit the bill include Darron Gibson (Ireland) - 31 years old released by Wigan .... or Joe Ledley - 32 released by Derby ... would guess wages would probably be an issue for both these guys but they would fit the bill to inspire to play for their national teams...

Strange one because Damour is holding midfielder not a wide player. Who is the free agent? Also strange because if any good would have been snapped up by now. Hope you are correct though.

Fair enough, think I was just trying to temper my expectations. Not a bad thing to have a link with Man City and have them send some quality young players our way. Also its easy to forget but we are so lucky to have the state of the art facilties at the Riccarton, something that outdoes the old firm.

There's a Welsh midfielder looking for a new club I've heard.

Scotland might seem more attractive than China, where he's been linked.

Ledley is who I’m guessing it’s been suggested to me as. Told he’s waiting to see if any English clubs can offer him a guarantee of playing every week before he accepts our offer. Been told not Scottish but British. Can’t see or think of any English player that fits the bill.

I think its him.

😂😂. Not a definite name but fits all the info I’ve been told. And if it does happen it won’t be any time soon until all offers are considered. Not ideal considering we have our first league game on Sunday!

That's who we've been actively trying to get in for some weeks now (the 1st two) even thought Craig has denied interest in JM

Damour and Morrisons wages could be the problem, they can obviously attract way more than we can offer currently and pay at a higher level

We want a top notch Naismith esque signing in thats been made clear

If we sign any of the names mentioned on here then a lot of posters, have wasted an awful lot of time, publicly urinating all over themselves, during the 2019 closed season. Glorious!

Very much agree. Although which club would actually pay any money for our strikers , don’t even care about the transfer fee just be good to get them off the books free up the wages
