The Neil McCann rumours are extremely interesting

I think there's something to them

What makes you think that?

If Neil McCann becomes the next manager we might as well fold as a football club

If Craig levein continues as manager we might as well too.

That's a belter of a post to make a few weeks before he leads us out at Hampden for a cup final.

Young ambitious manager. I could see Ann Budge being impressed by him, plus I haven't found Leveins' dismissals totally convincing

What I heard was that Levein has been offered a contract extension and if he didn't want to continue as manager

Neil McCann was named as a possible replacement .

Don’t have a clue who but going by the pre contract signings it points towards levein staying or appointments from within

Yep, with shite squad and no money to improve it.

if you listen to Neil McCann he is certainly pretty knowledgeable about the game. Him, Naismith and McPhee would certainly be quite reasonable mix with CL upstairs as Director.

The rumours though (as most of them are) might just be a load of manure.

If that happens we’ll struggle to sell 1000 season tickets

Sold four times that so far so your calculations might be a bit off.

So is Gary Neville but made a right pigs ear of it at Valencia!  Cathro talked a good game also.

Being a manager is a totally different skill to being a good player or pundit. We need someone with a bit of experience as a manager, not another experiment.

Cruyff Turn

Neil McCann was trying to play football, with Dundee when they really needed to be a big physical hoofball team. I don’t think the outcome of what he did there is a reflection of his managerial abilities tbh. He might do well with better players. That’s not to say he should be the next Hearts manager.

All managers are a risk - even experienced  ones. I can think of quite a few very experienced ones over the years who have been given the job here and been completely crap.

McCann was doing pundit duties at the Derby and was very defensive of the team, remaining optimistic even when we were playing really poorly.  I found it quite surprising tbh.

Sounds positive. A quality wide player is an absolute must!

Holding onto Naismith assuming he stays fit is massive.

Tynecastle Valhalla

Naismith signing would be excellent

we should try and get milinkovich back on loan

him with mulrayne on the left could be excellent with uche up top and naisy playing just off

I actually said this on another thread as well, getting milinkovic back would be great

think he would do really well with even better players round him

Him and Mulraney would be mouth watering

It will be like marmite or the curate's egg (good in parts) on here.  Whoever it is, there will be Levein's supporters, his detractors and those dithering in-between.

I remember the pre-season friendly against Boro back in 2005 when all these Czech, Lithuanian and French players just appeared without prior notification to the supporters.  Berra was in the squad for that game as a 20yr old.
