Pretty sure you got them all.

Especially Sneddon - I'd forgotten about Neil Murray after all these years. Thankfully. A terrible player.

Like to have seen these guys play in what was a great era for Hearts

And it looks like Doug Smith, a stalwart for Dundee United, and maybe Walter Smith.

Come on MS, I'm only 63!

I could pick out - Bobby Parker, Dave Mackay in the back row (left) & Alex Young, Willie Bauld, Jimmy Wardhaugh & Ian Crawford? in the front row.

Unfortunately never had the chance to see these legends playing for HMFC, but plenty of family were quick to remind me when I first started going in January, 1964.

Keep up the good work on this thread

Front Row - Roald Jensen, Tommy Traynor, George Miller, Donald Ford, George Fleming & Jim Townsend.

Back Row - Jim Irvine?, Eddie Thomson, Jim Cruickshank, ??, Alan Anderson, ??, ??

Might need to cheat & look at London Hearts to get some names to get a "full house"

I think one of the guys to Alan Anderson's left is Jim Fleming.   You're right about the Front row.

Was the score 5-1 for Hearts at this point with 20 mins to go, buses packed on Leith Walk...

If that's Roy Baines in goal, then according to London Hearts its the New Year's  Day derby in 1971 ending 0-0.  The other Hearts player is Kevin Hegarty, I think.      Andy Lynch in the background.    Our record in derbies  under Johnny Harvey and Bobby Seith was appalling, especially at Tynecastle.

Great photo there!!   Tommy Murray looks like he's barely 5 feet tall there !!  Is that JJ extreme right, at the back ?   Looks like John Hagart taking the training.

Peter Oliver was a great prospect, left us and wasn't heard much of after that.

was it Peterborough he went to?

he got a bad injury away to Airdrie, he badly over stretched for a ball, and was never the same after that. ( I was at the game )

Didn't we have a player called Smith playing up front for a short spell. Iain, maybe. He could be 10 if it's not Robertson..I always remember a News headline of Humdrum at Tynecastle with the action photo showing Smith.

We had a striker called Iain Smith playing for us when we first got relegated. He only played in in the lower league.

He was a doctor and travelled up from England for games.

IIRC, he was training to be a doctor then had to jack football in because he had to go to Brum Uni which made it too far to travel.

Superb.

Particularly the last few pages.

b.1968 so mostly stuff from before I was born and shortly after. A terrific look at the Hearts my younger Dad and Uncle's supported back then and the club I was born into.

Quality.

I think the missing player in the front row is Tommy White.

It's probably a typo but it's Willie Polland next to Jim Cruickshank.

Parkhead with the 'old Jungle' in the background.

Kenny Garland, Dave Clunie, John Stevenson, Jim Jefferies, Jimmy Cant.

We went into this game as league leaders after a great start with included beating Hibs 4-1, at home, and Rangers 3-0, away. Celtic blew us away in the first half. Celtic players are David Hay and Kenny Dalglish.

That's correct. He played a few games at the start of season 1977-78. His son Matt Smith is currently with Millwall,
