Old public toilets at Colinton. This was once the tram ticket office.

Now a house, called The Tram House.

I'm thinking maybe Craiglockhart area.

The hill looks a reasonable slope, but not sure bout the coach, where it has come from.

What time-frame do think for the photo?

I'd guess 30's. Did trams continue to run 39 through 45?

Sorry, I somehow didn't realise you meant did the trams run during the war years!

1956 was when the last tram operated, but not sure about the affect the war had on the service.

Here's an old photo from Colinton Road-Craiglockhart Ave junction.

No probs. I just have visions of them ripping up tram lines to melt for the war effort.

I remember the tramlines in Colinton Road in the 70's.There was stretch exposed outside the co op that became The Glencraig Loungebar.

Im thinking 56,right at the end of the tram era.

The omnibus is pulling out of Thorburn Road. I think.

The wall and gate beside the 2 laddies still exists.I found it on Google maps but can't post the screen shot.

The trams ran during the war if I remember correctly one thing they done was painted over where there was white on the roof, the roofs were then all dark so not so easily seen from the air.

Don’t ever remember that being as narrow as that. You know what year they knocked those buildings down?

I don't and I don't know what they were building before it became a Travelodge. If we could find that out it would give us some kind of idea.

I think about 1950/51. Long before my time in 1955.
