Aahh. Clever stuff.     Probably not quite as much disruption needed for that as for the Fast & Furious filming last year !!  🙂

I love this thread but photos like these I find terribly sad - what an obscene legacy the planners and University (Potterow etc)have left behind. Dam them

Colour just makes it worse. Really spectacular buildings. As is the cornering of the Morris minor. That's a nice wee list to starboard with a hint of tyre squeal

Broken kingpins in the front suspension wasn’t uncommon.  My mum’s Traveller did it turning the corner outside Leith police station. All the cops came out and lifted the broken corner and steered it into a parking place.

No idea of the road but that’s definitely LuckyBatistuta in his cab 😉

Come on, you know we’d both love to be driving a cab like that, beautiful 😍

Aah, the days when our council actually cared about our city and it’s residents.

Definitely looks like a leg sticking up, think there is someone just to the left of them too

Remember the butter mountain and cheese, milk & wine lakes, surplus beef, can't remember OAP's getting free handouts.

Pretty sure that the old Salisbury cinema. If it is it was the source of my first fist fight, we were about four. We went to the Sally as it had a Buck Jones serial. After the movie we decided to play cowboys and Indians. We both bagseyd Buck Jones the argument came to fisticuffs, and the game never took place. He was a visitor to his Granny, and came often but I never in the ensuing years ever spoke to him again.

They're lined up beside where the pizza, cafe Nero block is. There used to be a gap site car park if I remember right

The buildings are on West Nicolson St (where the Pear Tree is situated). The 'gap site' is occupied by pizza shop, coffee shop and co-op (think) with flats above them.

Note to all.

Always turn the wheel and steering lock towards the kerb when parking on a hill. :)

Cracking thread, btw. I'd like to see other city threads like this. Plenty of Canadian, American, Aussies, English and other posters to keep it busy. 👍
