Telford College student magazine 1978, note some of the up and coming bands, including Elvis Costello and the Attractions playing West Calder of all places.

Vaguely remember going to the Cuinzie Neuk in Kinghorn to see the Freeze.

What's the building on the left there? Am I right in thinking that's where the ugly old BHS store was? Shocking that the nice building in the picture was replaced with the current monstrosity.

Madness played there as well about 1980 I think. "Smaller towns" tour or something similar.

Fairly sure that's from 1980 , not '78 ?

Hate to be a pedant, but remember the Peter Gabriel gig at The Odeon well . He'd started crowd surfing then. 10 yrs before the phrase had been invented.

Didn't tour in '78 (( I don't think , could be wrong) and the first album tour ('77) only visited The Apollo in Scotland iirc.

Elvis Costello in West Calder and Siouxsie & the Banshees at Tifany's ......:2thumbsup:

Think you could be right as 1980 was a leap year and there is a concert listed for 29th February, the website I downloaded the picture from had it listed as 78
