Yes, need to be able to prove he is a pensioner.

If he has a purchase history the club will have his details including his DOB on record anyway.

For me it’s that we invariably follow a couple of poor seasons with a very good one.

On on top of that I think other teams could/will have poorer seasons

I can see Aberdeen needing their own rebuild over the summer with the likes of Rooney and May going

Hibs will be worse with quite a few leaving, plus they never have 2 good seasons

killie will struggle to keep Clarke and boyds Indian summer won’t continue

Rangers if they do go for Gerrard could easily find themselves with Cathro mk2, plus I doubt whoever the manager is will find it easy to move on poor players due to their higher than deserved wages

Thanks. Blind faith has mostly  done it for me for over 50 years but it needs some reinforcement currently. Hope you are right!

(But I have to say "far better" at home is over-egging it and away form does impact on ST holders)

A lot of us need inspiration. What are your grounds for having a great feeling about next year/season?

I am not a happy clapper and if results don’t improve next year we will need a change.

The main reason is that I rate CL as a very good manager.  I have some fantastic memories from his last spell and expect more over the next few years.  I have seen enough improvement in the teams performances and fighting spirit  since he took over to recognise that he still has got what it takes.  This season whilst disappointing has hardly been a disaster. Historically we have had an average season.

The main change over recent years is that our expectations and demands for the teams performance are higher.  I think any fans that were expecting us to be pushing for a place in Europe this year had unrealistic expectations.

There wasn’t a lot he could do to change the squad he inherited, I expect a more balanced team after the summer transfer window is completed.

A few other factors are likely to boost our league position:-

No more games at Murrayfield.

Less financial pressure on budgets from the building of the new stand.

Our younger players such a Soutar and Cochrane will be a bit older and stronger.

We have a great pipeline of players coming up from the Academy.

CL overall is pretty good at picking players in the transfer window.

Don’t understand folk not renewing because of our away form, fine stop going to away games but we have been far better at home.

Ive renewed but my only reluctance was the 75 quid hike.

I actually think we have the basis of a decent side so with players coming in I think we’ll be much better next season.

We haven’t really been ‘far’ better at home.   Better, yes, but not far better, certainly when it comes to entertainment.

Fair play to everyone renewing but not for me this year.

The last two seasons have been shambolic and the one before that not much better. The players we've been linked with are not very inspiring and i feel the club are taking us for granted a bit now, especially with putting up season tickets this year, despite the garbage we've had to endure over the last 3 seasons.

I will still probably go to the majority of home games next year but will pick and choose my games and pretty scunnered with the way things are going.  I'm not going to blindly throw away £500 every season for the fare that's on offer

This is where I’m at . Take the wee man with me and near tail end of the season he’s wanted to play with his pals rather than go as he finds it boring just now .  . It’s hard to argue with him . Can’t justify paying the cash upfront if it turns out the same product is on offer . It’s become a chore to go watch them .

Renewed yesterday. Had a season ticket since I was a boy, many years ago. Times have been hard, in the past, but this has been the hardest to buy.

Mainly due to the price now. £495 for a season ticket, where you don’t know if you are getting 18 or 19 games. Back in the day, you got a couple of free games and into the cup ties as a reward for paying up front. Now you are only guaranteed your seat for league games, with the chance that you may not make all the games anyway, what with kick off times all over the place.

It would have been nice for this season’s people to have been given some leeway in the price, considering we never got to use our season ticket at Tynecastle until November.

With the bigger ground, comes more responsibility for Hearts to provide an attractive product to fill it regularly. We seem to be a long way from this.

One thing is for sure. Another season like this one and numbers will drop dramatically.

The kick off times is a bugbear of mine. Friday at 19:45. 12:00 on a weekend. I renewed our tickets a few weeks ago and later found that my friends are not renewing due to CL which is a shame. It was an extra £100 at a time when I'm facing a large cut in income. No more match day socialising next season due to nobody else going and that was an important part of my day especially when the team fails to deliver. Continuous poor performances divide and isolate us. I wanted to give CL a full preseason but not everyone is as patient. If things do not improve will not be renewing next year and reconsider FOH subscription.

Snap...

Its a point of principal for me...the standard we have all suffered from 2-3 years has taken its toll on me on the park...

No enjoyment in watching Hearts...im prepared to negate results to a large degree if I think my team including management have done their best to enertain at the very least and make a game of it....but thats a distant memory...the way our management set us up...the way we simply play makes it very hard to want to see that and endure such pitiful uninspiring sport....

Ill cherry pick my games simple as that....and the folk that try and claim to be uber fans etc above someone with a degree of wherewithal and objectivity as to where I find myself, they can go and raffle ?!!!!

Sad but true..... ?

Even if sales are poor after the renewal period is up there is still plenty of time left to change people's minds.

With the larger capacity it is not as important to hold onto current seats.

I think we will actually sell more STs further into the summer as enthusiasm increases for the new season.

A couple of good performances in our last two home games would do wonders for sales.

One thing that is missing from this year's ST debate has been the presence of the uber fan.

Everyone understands the predicament many fans find themselves in. Times are hard for a lot of people and hard decisions have to be made. Many people will find they can't justify spending the best part 500 quid for something they are not enjoying . Even more so if it's a family lots of things the money could be spent on.

The only thing that anoys me about it is people encouraging others not to renew. It's a personal decision and I have renewed because I love going to the football and see the last couple of seasons as a blip.

Things will get better.

About half the league have someone in the stands, most however have a better way of communicating info. Dundee Utd for example have someone linked into an Ipad with editing facilities so information can be relayed at half time.(yes i am aware Utd arent in our league)

Let’s face it, our core season ticket numbers are about 12k. It goes up and down depending on how well the team is playing or how the club is being run.  Wether you call this 2 or 3k floating fans or fair weather fans is up for debate.

I will probably renew but not in a hurry.

Paid for a platinum seat in the new stand  but choice wasn't great, stuck on the edgesin row 33. Can't say I have enjoyed it.

Not sure what what is happening with old main stand concessions this season but would like to be more central and lower down.  Paying Platinum for a crap seat plus paying to the foundation is a bit dispiriting when some (not all) get a concession in the new stand and don't pay into the foundation.

If if not I will see what's available in the Gorgie where we came from  or the Wheatfield.

If nothing I fancy  I will pay per match. I have missed  7 games this season due to work and would make more financial sense to do this.

The football at Tynecastle has been passable but not exactly fun to watch. I hate the Hibs as much as anybody but watching their 5-3 win yesterday is much more palatable than dragging out a one goal victory. We need rid of CL and an attack minded coach brought in.

Sorry not a flooting  fan or fair weather fan, been  season ticket holder for many years as have my family but we are still undecided  if we will renew  our four season tickets. Problems with  our seats in new stand wrote to the club  in January  had no reply  not  a good way  to  treat  loyal  fans.

That's around what I think it's at mate. Was out yesterday with a mate who has decided not to renew his next season. Spoken to loads of guys who are undecided. Disappointing if we lose a chunk of the fanbase after all the hard work to grow it.

I've was thinking the same. We had built up a feel good factor at the club, after going into administration, and a bit of togetherness but this seems to have been lost over the last couple of years

Aye. Which is frustrating that Budge and Levein are undoing all their own hard work and appear to be blind to it. I guess sales this season may be a reality check.

You were at Hampden in 1956 weren't you?

My dad wasn't half as good as you're dad and wouldn't take me.  To be honest I think my mother had a lot to do with that dreadful example of child cruelty.

RIP both of them.  They were tremendous.

Rest of the family were at Hampden that day while I was punted down to Grandma's in Portobello for the day.

It was my Uncle Alex that took me (my Mums Brother). Only 12 years old at the time. Funny thing my Mum was quite strict but my Uncle managed to persuade her to let me skip the school for the mid week semi final replay against Raith. Happy days

I disagree with this statement 100%.  If you look at the bigger picture our club is in the strongest position in decades.

No longer are we burdened with crippling debt and forced by our bankers to sell players to pay back money owed.  We can decide to sell/buy a player based on the needs of the team, not on instruction from our bankers.

We have a fantastic stadium, one of the best in Scotland.

We are generating a conveyor belt of young talent through the Academy.

The mentality of the club/fans has changed from accepting mediocrity to demanding success.

On the field we have had historically an average season, hardly a disaster.

Next season we will have a reduced financial burden relating to the main stand and will have a more balanced fixture list playing all our home games at Tynecastle.

I am really excited about next season and see us pushing for 2nd place. CL has a good track record in picking players up in the summer transfer window. I expect him to do the same again this year.

After long thoughts I have renewed for the boy and I.

It's a sticky one as I work shifts and miss a few games and was thinking I could just pick and choose my games. The boy also plays football on a Sunday morning and we've had a few Sunday lunch time kick offs. If only Saturday at 3 was the norm but it's a rarity nowadays. I also have an 8 month old baby now who demands a lot of my time. I really did have the ammo not to renew but I still believe we are on the cusp of something and my love of the JT's and all things Hearts have me my usual enthusiastic self about the new season. My little donation will hopefully help us toward building a team we can be proud of and support through the new season....probably with a little extra one on my hip greeting for a feed during the game. ????

Set out to renew with a heavy heart ... but cheered up when I discovered I qualify (just) for the Over 65 discount. The club kindly automatically tracks your age qualification, otherwise I would have paid the full price. I think they've missed a trick by not giving you the option of paying the full price as I feel slightly guilty - but there has to be some advantages to growing old! Anyway I will find other ways of providing the club with the difference. Upping my FoH sub will presumably save the club on VAT for example.

Strangely having bit the bullet I even feel a bit more enthusiasm for the new season than I did before.

Bit harsh suggesting they'd be stealing folk's money straight from their accounts mate.  I know we're all a bit miffed but you've crossed a line there.

As for the Twitter account, ask a PHM if you know any.  It was all over social media as well as more traditional communication platforms.

No word on how many sold?

I see Dempster announced on twitter hibs have just sold over 10,000, however pretty sure theirs have been on sale for an extra month or so. We’d need a 71ish% uptake in renewals to match that by this point which I would be surprised it isn’t achieved.
