Lol to clarify

Number of caps accumulated in career at the point they wore the maroon of the famous. Caps earned after leaving tynie do not count. Ie naismith when he pulls on a hearts top will have 45

Dunno if Greeks count but the great Takis has 60 caps.

Was initially thinking Scotland players but would be interesting in terms of all international teams.

say for instance Takis was the 4th most capped Greek international and played for us. (Was takis on 60 when he left us?)

Hughes the 2nd most capped for N Ireland

Berra the 100th most capped for Scotland

Your request was perfectly reasonable. It's the same old sad acts posturing and playing the keyboard warrior that gets boring sadj.

So if Gordon cam back he would overtake Naismith again?

I cant think of any though there might be someone in friendly?

A debate seems beyond you and to be frank not worth my time until you can discourse with adults

You are Rangers.

I fully understand this is a quality signing but am I the only one a bit pissed it's a loan till the end of season. Do we have first dibs on signing or are we offering a hand on him getting back to Rangers?

Originally Naismith to sign permanent deal but Norwich changed deal on Friday after agreeing. So deal broke and had to start again. No time to get permanent deal by Sunday so it was a loan deal.

On Friday, people at Hearts had all but given up on getting Steven Naismith. They pulled it off. Great signing

Norwich spent £10 million on him. They aren't going to want to sell him for £250,000 that's not good business. Do well here and he could be sold for a couple of million. I genuinely think this could be the best signing we've ever made, Berra's great he gives you a base but this guy is a brilliant striker

Pop in a berra, Naismith type signing in the middle of the park then we are a very decent side. Great signing but i worry about supply and our lack lusture supply to our front guys. Major issue for me. Even so what a boost for Sunday against the wee team

Would love a double swoop the morn. Naismith & a quality attacking midfielder. CL to pull one out the bag.

They save 2 million by releasing him if he is happy to forego any claim on wages for his final year.

This is 100% correct. Loan with an option is what we are after now.

His wages for a year are 1.5 million according to the figures above, so it would cost a fair wedge unless Norwich were willing to chip in to get rid.

whatever I think we should just enjoy his time here without agonising over possibilities (details of contracts)  which we are not going to find out about anyway...

I agree.  Agonising will get us nowhere.  It's just possible that he will love his time and Tynecastle and want to stay.  Norwich might be happy just to have him off the books.  Who knows.

As you say, no point in agonising.  What will be will be.
