Bantz!

It has been a success.

it has protected off shore entities such as that Mone has siphoned £27 million into from PPE contracts , and countless other trillions .

Why do enormous banks base themselves in London of all places ?

In that aspect - hiding bent money- brexit has been great

You do the bold Baroness a disservice. It's £29m 😂

They should have that debate. Prime time live on all 5 channels with an independent fact checking service running along side it.

It would put the whole thing to bed for good.

Mind that amazing trade deal we made with Japan in 2020?

Figures collated by the Department for International Trade show exports to Japan fell from £12.3bn to £11.9bn in the year to June 2022.
Exports in goods fell 4.9% to £6.1bn and services fell 2% to £5.8bn.

'n'all'n'anyways, it looked as though the good ship NI Protocol was going to be steered to safer waters - ironically thanks to some creative fudging by former PMs Johnson and Truss.  Now it seems it's full steam ahead on to the rocks, because the you-know-whos in the North are desperate to mumbo jumbo their jumbo mumbos for King and Country, while everybody who's anybody in English politics seems to think it's a core part of the unwritten Constitution to roar "OH **** OFF YOU EUROPEAN ****S" at foreigners as long, loud and often as possible.

Deary me.

@Lord MontpelierDid you vote for Brexit. For an Englishman you do some amount of running down of Scotland and Independence voters.

Nope. Ima Scottish, British, and European. Fully inclusive you might say. But begrudgingly accept the outcome of the brexit vote.

Oh... and I am proudly Scottish. Which is why I look with disappointment with the nick of the country under the SNP.

Unicorns, Sunny Uplands and “happy fish”. Oh….and don’t forget the road signs at the Dartford Tunnel being in yards instead of metres.

Wigan has a pier? It must not be where I kind of thought it was.

And pies you say?

Aye, seems a bit odd considering its many miles inland. Pies are shit, not a patch on a good Scotch Pie.

Pier would appear to be a concert hall/music venue, it's all a bit confusing!

Original Wigan pier was a jetty for loading coal onto the barges on the Leeds & Liverpool canal. Became an ironic joke in the music halls as the social conditions were dreadful and the oppposite of what you would expect when talking about an area with a pier. Later the area was was named Wigan pier and contained museums, nightlife, etc. (Guy I worked with was a proud "pie eater ").

The blue passport , made in Poland/France/wherever.

Oh wait, we could've kept the blue passport in the first place.

Maybe the massive trade deals. Oh wait, we never signed one with USA.

I'm kinda struggling TBH.

I've still got my nice maroon one. It'll be a sad day when that expires, it used to represent a freedom, now it represents great british stupidity.

One of the key reasons I changed my mind from remain to leave following the referendum. Corruption, the rise of fascism among member states, and the failure to support members in trouble (Covid in particular) have all served to strengthen my resolve on this one.

Prosecutors investigating alleged influence peddling by a Gulf country at the European Parliament charged four people over the weekend with corruption, participation in a criminal group and money laundering. Parliament Vice President Eva Kaili of Greece was relieved of her duties.

The prosecutors declined to identify the country suspected of offering cash or gifts to parliament officials in exchange for political favours. Several members of the assembly and some Belgian media linked the investigation to Qatar, which is currently hosting soccer's gala event, the World Cup.

Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has denied any wrongdoing.

Police conducted Monday's raids at European Parliament offices in Brussels to seize computer data belonging to 10 parliamentary assistants, prosecutors said. Officers have conducted 20 raids in total as part of an investigation launched four months ago.

"Several hundred thousand euros have been seized in three different places: 600,000 euros at the home of one of the suspects, several hundred thousand euros in a suitcase seized in a room of a Brussels hotel, and about 150,000 euros in an apartment belonging to an MEP," prosecutors said.

Kaili, who was relieved of her duties over the weekend, was expelled Monday from the legislature's Socialists and Democrats group with immediate effect.

🤣🤣🤣🤣 back at you.

We've got a big chance of challenging the corrupt a Westminster, Edinburgh and in local govt. Very little chance in the EU.

We can do nothing about the disgraceful treatment of Italy and Spain during Covid. We have Zero chance of influencing the Fascists and far right in Italy, Hungary and Poland. Even the French are playing with the Fascists. Compromising on these things corrupts us all.

Anyway, at one point the UK and EU were about to resolve the NI Protocol issue, then things went astray for a while.  Now they've gone quiet.  I wonder is that a good sign or a bad one?

They have charged 4 people with corruption. Meanwhile, in that bastion of decency called Westminster, we give them seats in the HoL.

Scotland had no chance of challenging anything at Westminster. Not enough SNP Mps and the others are just lapdogs.(HJs/UTs) You Londoners should stick to Wm, us Scots will deal with Hr.  👍 When we rejoin The EU well try our best to tackle any corrupt politicians, but am sorry to tell you, they all reside at the Tory side of WM.

It's a sign that Rashid doesn't have any control over the factions of his party and picking that scab will probably see another outbreak of infighting resukting in him being turfed out on his rather generous lug.

His current strategy is to ignore it, hope that it goes away and to distract the Daily Nazi readers with a spot of faux culture war shenanigans against striking workers.

Nothing screams patriotism more than hating nurses you were clapping 18 months ago 👍

Its social services, NHS, Education etc is in a worse state than Scotland.

It isn't nation wide, I've a marvellous local health centre, same day Dr appointments often available, we've never waited more than three days to see a Dr, great hospitals in Lancaster and Kendal, been a few times for various things over the fifteen years we've lived here. My son is in a really good school, my wife works in the local school that doesn't seem to have any problems.

You know Farage sold the UK a pup, he should be thrown in jail.

They told lies from the start and people still bought it, it's a feckin disgrace.

The morons who voted for it are completely silent about it now, not even prepared to try and defend what an absolute disaster it’s been.

The whole campaign was championed by ignorant people who’ve long since moved on, and are now championing more daft causes or arguments.

I’m still waiting to hear what peoples favourite brexit benefit has been so far… passports changing from maroon to blue? Wow. Incredible. Truly enriching our lives…
