Correct. The fact that Labour are objecting to it is strange as Richard Leonard on Sunday was suggesting that all parties should be in this negotiation as he could see merit in retaining most of the powers in dispute at UK level. Almost agreeing with his Welsh colleagues. Many politicians in Scotland believe Mike Russell would do a deal but is being held back by the Murrells.

Sturgeon should have stuck to tying herself to railings outside the Faslane submarine base. Would be more use to Scotland if she was still there.

I think it's more to do with Westminster setting what is the modus operandi that is annoying Holyrood?   No consultation from the devolved governments to work towards an agreed framework?  

 

Put it this way, if it has united Labour and the Libs as well as the SNP and the Greens against it, then that to me speaks volumes.

Westminster to blame for everything Boris? No surprise that Holyrood would want to stand up to the imposition of new rules/policies. However even Michael Gove has suggested a joint working party on the returning Environmental powers. As I have told you before Government Institutions both at Scottish and UK level are already working together on remaining issue, its only political posturing that is holding up an agreement. Why would Labour in Wales make an agreement and Labour in Scotland not. Posturing!!

Labour are just out to cause trouble and agitate with the gnats over a decision that was taken nationally in 2016. If it was voted for again tomorrow it would be a Leave in Scotland also, but we have these political schizophrenics digging in their heels and ramming their heads in the sand.  Welsh Labour signed up, but not this mob.  Liberals would sell their kids to be under the yoke of Brussels, as would the joker Greens, it's like a fatal attraction for these zealots. SNP refuse to recognise that they are  part of a UK that voted leave. To accede to anything the sovereign parliament in London wants would be to undermine their ref2 Euro fantasy and face up to reality. The whole lot are anti Scotland's interests and pro their self serving agendas. An unholy alliance living in a dream world.

Labour would gain by recognising the reality of what the UK electorate voted for. This will backfire on Nicola Sturgeon big time, especially when it is explained in some detail the powers that they made a grand stand over...........powers which they have no control over at the moment. Its time for Labour to think like a major party again, one that could potentially be in power post Corbyn..

Given Scotland voted to remain by a large majority, I'm not sure how they benefit in Scotland by recognising that Scotland's future isn't in Scotland's hands, but England's, to all intents and purposes.

If Labour has any aspirations of being the next UK Government then it is time for them to think and act as a UK party. Many regions of the UK vote differently on a range of issues, its called democracy. 

Once the Tories get going and fully expose Nicola's incompetence with current farm subsidy payments then she will be found out for what she really is....a one policy politician. Doesn't matter which topic you choose the current SNP Government at Holyrood has been found wanting, health, education, police etc.

To be fair at this stage the Bill can still be amended by the UK Government. It is not the end but the beginning of the end on this.

 

Fwiw, these cross party talks will occur. The Labour amendment was supported via this vote tonight. In effect what follows is further negotiation to get a deal. 

 

If not then this is stage 1 of the Sturgeon move to indyref2.

The Welsh Assembly voted through the Brexit bill yesterday, Labour and Conservatives voting it through. The Assembly said they were working together with the Scottish Government and that the opposition to it in Scotland was " nonsense". Smoke and Mirrors coming from the SNP separatist government.
